Player Of The Decade?

Who would you choose as the best or most influential player for the club for the past ten years?

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Is there one?

Of course not, we all rate Andy McLaren and Adam Coakley equally.

The best player for me has to be Paul McGowan. The most influential, both positively and negatively, would be Peter Weatherson.

If we're talking the best player, Chris Millar. Most influential, I don't know.

Maybe as follows...

1. Weatherson

2. Greacen

3. Millar

4. McAllister

5. Bannerman (special merit award)

I would go with that.

It's not hard. The answer is in the post before yours :)

Like it or not - it's Peter.

Edit to say - Chris Millar might be viewed as the best player retrospectively by some on here (in view of the fact that he's playing well in the SPl ?) I don't believe the was that well regarded when he was here. Some on here had him as a 'lightweight s***ebag' I believe.

If a Morton fan can genuinely pick Chris Millar as our best player of the last decade then it only goes to show how much the club has suffered in that time. Never ever rated him... half a dozen decent games a season if you were lucky.

Sadly it IS very difficult to pick a very reliable performer in recent years.

See my edited post above  I think your view was quite prevalent when Chris was here. I liked him as a player - but the best ?
