  3. If you don't like your opinion being criticised then stop posting on an online forum. Either that or put your dummy back in and accept that's how the whole concept works. Btw your faux concern trolling about the calibre of posting has been duly filed in the bin where that belongs too.
  4. Because responding directly to your posts opens up yet another another silver-plate opportunity for you to to try and prove to the rest of the forum what a misguided twat I am for daring to have an opinion. I'd have thought that after almost 22,000 posts, you'd have pretty much nailed the 'antagonistic and argumentative' persona by now. Such a shame. Your knowledge and respect for our club is off the scale, your posts are always hugely well-thought-through and always totally on point. It genuinely saddens me when I see someone of your calibre heading down minor-point rabbitholes such as this. You really are way, way better than that, VT.
  5. Why didn't you respond to the post directly instead of passive-aggressively mewling about it?
  6. I don't care if my name is on the arse, this kit is an absolute belter and I'm getting it when I'm over.
  7. Good evening Calvin Miller if you're listening
  8. My name is on a white section, front and back. I would also be on the topmost blue section, but I'm in the missing bit for the neck and obscured by the hungry squirrel logo on the back. My son is on it four times as far as I can tell. I like the look of the kit. Edit - just seen the above post. I can see fans checking the tops thoroughly before making their purchase.
  9. They’ve noted the names will line up differently on each jersey, so you may get lucky and have it clear and unobstructed front and back!
  10. I’m interested to know if there’ll be more of a drive than just the messaging in the email. It’s a good idea, but I’m a little cynical of how much we’ll get from it. Ideally this would just be one part of the membership drive. Is there anyone from MCT here (or someone who knows someone) that could let us know if there are other plans? At the least I’d be interested to know the increase over the next couple of months. I’ve done my bit as asked in the email but I’ve generally been met with silence or been told to fuck off.
  11. Don't say that pal - I (obviously mistakenly) said it and all of a sudden I'm now the forum pariah in the mind of VT. And FWIW - I'm just as hacked off as anyone that a player whose career has been totally rejuvenated under Dougie's leadership now sees fit to forget all of that so soon, and fuck off somewhere else. But wishing the bloke all the best in his future career isn't 'risible' or a display of abject Judas-level Morton betrayal on my part - it's a reluctant acceptance of stark reality, not 'validation' or 'justification' FFS. And outwith all of the above - he hasn't actually left us yet.
  12. Bloody Dalrada yellow part of the logo blocks my name on the front but it's clear on the back of the shirt so all good. Really like the yellow in the collar and sleeves. Well done to all involved
  13. Obviously none of us know the exact figure or are ever going to, but us stretching to between £800 or £900 for our highest earners putting Ayr's 50% (or more) higher offer somewhere around £1200-1350 seems a reasonable guess. You can't expect us to get near that.
  14. From memory of the financial update put out not too long ago I'm sure we spent just over a million pounds on the 'football department' last season, so handing Oakley a grand a week would be pushing 5% of that whole expenditure. Even granted next seasons budget will be increased it's still unlikely that's what we're able to offer unfortunately, especially given that would mean Ayr are going to be paying him £1,500 a week.
  15. I'd be shocked if we offered 1k a week to any player.
  16. I'd like to think we offered close to £1000 a week to George. Our player of the year, match winner, increased budget etc so surely not far off 4 figures to try keep him at the club. If Ayr are offering in the region of £1500 then good luck to Oakley, its a no brainer for him.
  17. If it comes to pass it will be a punch in the gut but money talks.
  18. If the quality stands up to fat boy stretching and 5 a sides that is a very tidy top.
  19. Will be interesting to see if Brown can get a tune out of him the way Imrie did. At least when he eventually comes up against us Baird and whoever partners him knows how he plays and can handle him
