Your claim that the EFG or any other group were somehow winning a watch by merely paying a sizable sum for a shareholding stake - for a business with zero tangible assets - while also being asked to chip in extra cash for no extra stake to keep the lights on remains utter, utter nonsense.

It's a good statement overall, and it is transparent up to a point. But this makes absolutely no sense:

"Greenock Morton has consistently sought to operate within its means, maintain a debt-free model and align football ambition with income available. The challenge we face today is not the result of underlying financial weakness, but rather the loss of a significant income stream that had formed part of the club’s expected budget. While that presents a serious challenge, the underlying business remains stable if we can navigate this cashflow issue."

The two sentences in bold are mutually exclusive. We are (correctly) now adjusting for life under the assumption we'll never see any of the 325k Dalrada had pledged to us. OK. But then it's no longer a cashflow issue and it is a structural one: a major sponsor has pulled out, and as such a huge amount of our income has gone. Without that income we are, apparently, clear through to the new year as a going concern. That is a structural issue! If one of the main pillars of your structure is not viable - in this case, because a sponsor is refusing to pay us - that is the structure! You can say it's not really our fault or whatever you like but a 325k hole in the foundation is still a hole regardless of how it got there!

If we have written off the 325k - and we have, we're seeking to replace it - that is no longer a cashflow issue but a structural one.

Again, this is the correct thing to do, and I salute the club for doing it. But they still seem reluctant to spell out what the actual stakes are.

QP v Morton

https://themortonforum.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/44667-qp-v-morton/&do=findComment&comment=1190324

Was debating going to the game or not then I've been away all week and missed the ticket sales, so if any Morton fans have a spare away end ticket going, would happily take it off your hands. With Dalrada being liable then they would have to cover legal fees too which would either force their hand to pay monies owed or stop their cashflow until debts are repaid. Either way, MCT have nothing to lose but a lot to gain.

There is clearly a lot more red tape to navigate than my simple overview but we shouldn't be the ones to suffer through no fault of our own.

We also have players on the books that maybe could've been released to reduce the wage bill but have been hamstrung due to another unkept Dalrada promise.

Get Dalrada as far away from here as possible unless they honour all agreements. They got significantly less individual entries but they didn't have main shirt sponsorship available just back/sleeve/shorts.

Both QOS and Ayr give businesses 1 free season ticket for their entry and have additional prizes such as hospitality, advertising boards, shirts etc.

If this is the time to explore all avenues/think outside our normal box it's worth considering.

GMFC Board/Club Updates

https://themortonforum.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/44658-gmfc-boardclub-updates/&do=findComment&comment=1190315

I was thinking more along the lines of a new logo being applied using the heat press used for name and number sets - there will be one at Cappielow and at Smiths. That would leave us with a sponsor applied in the same fashion as many, or even most other teams who don’t have the logos sublimated.

These sort of things can be applied with a regular household iron, but are easy to make a mess of and could result in a number of ruined shirts that people will want exchanged!

Could be that we’d actually have to wait until there’s final, official confirmation the outstanding monies won’t be coming (e.g. Dalrada get wound up) before we summarily dismiss every trace of their name and existence from the kits and ground.

GMFC Board/Club Updates

https://themortonforum.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/44658-gmfc-boardclub-updates/&do=findComment&comment=1190314

Queen of the South's draw for this season was £450 to enter and had 155 entries, so raised £70K. Using Google, the playing surface is 6,400 mtrs. Selling each mtr at £25 should ( if all sold) raise £160,000.

Each "owner" could be issued with a plan of the ground with their name in their particular square.

	Or

There must be someone out there with th knowledge to produce a map of the playing surface divided into squares with the "owners" details. Unnecessary cost maybe, but we are probably talking a few hundred quid so not exactly a big risk(and as pedro said there might be scope to factor the cost into the new sponsorship deal). Could also increase the likelihood of selling existing stock of the strips if they look the same as the ones being worn by the players
