cmdc Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 MCT have been working really closely with Nick for a few months on the club’s finances so would have no worries about them not having sight of how this money is spent. And with two directors there will be a responsibility for how it is spent too. Albeit the idea that Crawford would trouser the money is incredibly far fetched anyway.

Is he still not living of the pot of gold he found in a bucket in the back of a taxi?

Jamie_M Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 So if, as the club stated, Hopkin left purely on selfless grounds to save money, will they consider reversing that with the announced additional funding? Or is there a real reason he left as we all suspect?
SpoonTon Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 It looks like there will be some level of conditions attached, so that it helps clubs cover existing costs rather than create new costs by bringing in additional players, etc. It's fantastic news for the club and particularly for the staff at the club. I don't think there's any reason for cynicism towards Crawford or GC in this matter. I guess they will simply be delighted that the club will be able to cover it's own costs in the near future.
