That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

1998 - Morton 3-1 Hamilton (Anderson 2, Mahood)

1996 - Montrose 3-2 Morton (Lilley, Cormack)

Wylie was sent off, John Anderson took over in goal. Wylie's suspension meant we had to play Andre Boe in goal for our next league game. Except he played for more than just that one game. And two of them were pumpings to promotion rivals.

My favourite Morton game and favourite Morton goal.  Ritchie got all the credit for the goal but it was a great team performance to reduce Aberdeen to a few chances, they were a very strong side and won the cup the following 3 seasons.

2014 - Morton 1-1 Cowdenbeath (Campbell)

A useless point saved by a useless side, adrift at the bottom.

http://youtu.be/4-LyVaDR7mk

2011 - Stirling Albion 0-1 Morton (Brian Graham)

2003 - Elgin City 0-0 Morton

We set off really early then had to stop in Glasgow and phone Borough Briggs to see if it was on. Was told to call back shortly as thew referee hadn't arrived yet. Eventually was told "it's a bit solid under the shade near the stand, but we've chucked some sand on it and the referee's ok with it".

Wasn't really worth the bother, but the locals celebrated the draw like it was a cup final win.

1997 - Morton 2-2 Dundee (Lilley pen, Hawke)

Scottish Cup tie

http://youtu.be/RtGZNZw4ULA

1992 - Morton 2-2 Meadowbank (McArthur, Alexander)

Scottish cup tie where we took an early lead through Scott McArthur. We then switched off and Meadowbank somehow scored twice in the second half. With most of the crowd waiting at the exits in stoppage time, Alexander powered home a header from a free kick to "earn" us a replay.

1964 - Berwick Rangers 1-3 Morton (Adamson, McGraw, Campbell)

1958 - Morton 0-1 Aberdeen

Scottish Cup

1950 - Morton 0-3 Queen of the South

2013 - Morton 2-2 Partick Thistle (MacDonald 2)

Top of the table clash, we come back from 2-0 down to get a point. Hugh Murray, receiving heaps of abuse throughout the game, is sent off at Cappielow for the second time in the same season.

http://youtu.be/jxcXPKobuK4

2008 - Dundee 2-0 Morton

2002 - Alloa 4-0 Morton

1988 - Morton 0-0 Falkirk

Featured on ITV's Sunday program "The Big Match", meaning the whole country got to see these four goals plus one stramash.

Noted for Ritchie making a complete arse out of Alan Rough.

Can't make out the scorer, but it was all Motherwell. We scored in added time.

1900 - Abercorn 2-3 Morton

1894 - Morton 7-1 Northern

This was our first proper league season (in Division 2). Nothern were from Glasgow (Hyde Park), and were formed the same year as ourselves. At the end of the season they were not re-elected.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.

2017 - Morton 2-2 Falkirk (O'Ware, Forbes)

Highlights from Falkirk TV

http://youtu.be/BFIh_FbP95Q

2012 - Partick Thistle 0-0 Morton

We missed a penalty...

http://youtu.be/HRsbXO5Omzk

2006 - Stirling Albion 3-1 Morton (Alex Walker)

1997 - Dundee 0-1 Morton a.e.t. (Barry Mason)

A game played in poor conditions with a strong wind howling towards the Morton fans behind the goal. We kept them out in the first half but struggled to use the wind in the second. With 10 minutes left Dundee were awarded a penalty - which Wylie saved. In injury time we got a penalty, but the usually reliable Lilley had his kick well saved by Billy Thomson. During extra time a little known sub came on and became a hero with the only goal of the game.

Earnshaws last game for us I'm sure and Colin Pluck played for us in that game.

Googled Pluck and he is now Colin Miles who finished his career with Woking. Had 5 years at Yeovil and and a couple of years at Port Vale after leaving us. I purely remember the name, can't remember if he was any good for us!

I remember him coming out for the “Save the Ton” collection game at home to Ayr showing us all that he’d shaved his head (the game where we stood in the WDE getting soaked whilst Ayr destroyed us 6-0).
