I'm looking forward to T- to be honest I always have an amazing time at it. No problem with neds, I just go with the missus and always meet up with mates, and have a rare time. Last year being particularly good.

I dont get all the snobbery around it, and knocking it. IMO it's as good now as it was the 1st ever year, way back at Strathclyde Park, with Blur, Oasis and Pulp on one night at the KTWWT.

I do fancy a Euro festival though. Benicassim always appeals.

Gutted that Connect isn't on again either and from what I hear isnt likely to be again.

I dont think its really snobbery- its just not as good. Still have a good time but thats more to do with all my mates being there.

I think the whole selling tickets the day after it finishes to cash in and having the same bands year after year are a bit of a sell out especially when the smaller stages are filled with radio friendly bands now as well. I know there isnt going to be great bands across the board every year but they seem to be taking the easy option with line ups every year now.

a remeber a got a day ticket for t in the park to see bowie then day or two afore it he pulls out

Unfortunate problem with his heart. Hasn't done much since. Read somewhere that he isn't all that interested in making music anymore, hope it isn't true but he had some career.

Never really found Kasabian all that exciting tbh, saw them supporting Oasis at Heaton Park last year and it was decent stuff but nothing special IMO. I enjoyed the two years I went for the weekend to T and will hopefully go again, but if the line-up doesn't excite me I don't fancy spending the money.

I disagree regarding the snobbery- I find loads of people have an attitude like that about T. Not saying everyone, but many do.

I do agree regarding the bands though. Killers and KOL again last year annoyed me, but it more than made up for it with Blur on the Sunday.

definate snobbery with me muz, i just dont rate it that highly... security, alcohol checks, the way it all finishes after the bands, the lack of varation of acts, ... its more like just a big outdoor gig.,, a festival should have much more :)

but ill still be there this year, all be it in a workers capacity and i will no doubt enjoy every minute of it still :)

Thats the kind of thing that makes it rubbish now - the same bands year after year and people are happy just to pay the money and go anyway.

The music and crowd have been getting worse for years - I'm going elsewhere for the first time in 10 years because of it!

I agree. Kings of Leon, Killers and Kasabian have been there the last what 5 years in a row? I wasn't bothered that I missed it last year.

The best times are in the smaller tents. Hot Chip, Vampire Weekend, Interpo, Stranglers, l and Primal scream two years ago were really immense.

I read that too mate!!! Jesus :( It was peter Gabriel who said it when promoting his new record (need to get that too btw, sounds great).

pretty shocked. Hope he hasn't chucked music, though he's been pretty ill. Massive Attack also said in a recent interview they approached him to contribute to their new release (Brilliant by the way), but said he's "Not very well at all"!?!?!

Get yer body to Lowlands... just ootside Amsterdam.... tidy burds and good music.

T In The Park in my opinion is sh1te beer, sh1te weather and sh1te layout. The party stops when the music stops.

Can only hope! It would have been that interview with Gabriel I read that. Like the look of the covers album, nice idea of getting the artists to reciprocate with a cover.

I have heard good things about Heligoland, it's better than 100th Window then? Didn't really like that one.

I never even bought 100th Window, I heard some of it and thought it was pretty formulaic. I think del Naja and Daddy G fell out around that time and it was really a del Naja solo record, plus there was all the dodgy child porn accusations around the same time....

I'm really enjoying Heligoland. Martina Topley-Bird is on a few of the tracks, great singer (Tricky, etc) and saw her supporting Massive Attack in January at the Academy and singing with them too.

Damon Albarn has cowritten and sings on a few too. That guy is a genius.

New Gorrilaz album soon!!!

Fair enough, though decent weather makes or breaks a festival for me. I see no enjoyment standing in the pissing rain no matter how good a band is. IMHO its the weather that generally ruins most British festivals. I've been to two Glastonbury festivals with cracking line-ups that were ruined by the pishing rain.

Hopefully they'll be a little sunshine for T In The Park this year B)

It was really sunny on the Sunday and Monday: after the monsoon on Saturday night proved that the tent wasn't as waterproof as it claimed.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
