jmton Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I am going for the 4th year in a row does anyone when the line up is announced ?
gmfc_stinny_gmfc Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 I know Kasabian are headlining one of the nights.... if i went id probs give them a miss. They have a few ok songs but apart from at nothing great.
garymcc1874 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Kasabian are fcking awesome. The most recent album is simply brilliant. I'm hoping to go to T this year for what will be my first time TTG JIM!!!
Caltonfan Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Should probably be an announcement at some point this month about other headliners. Hopefully a big name will be announced and not the usual acts of the last few years
aww_naw Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 a remeber a got a day ticket for t in the park to see bowie then day or two afore it he pulls out
jmton Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 I'm hoping to go to T this year for what will be my first time if you get a ticket you will love it this is my 4th year and it is the best music event ever in my opinon .
Jackie Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Plug Alert I created this little app the other day - http://tweetinthepark.com it basically searches Twitter for all instances of T in the Park and displays it on that site. It's kind of quite just now but when announcements and the event are taking place it should be pretty busy.
vikingTON Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Kasabian have a lot of good songs, though I find their album tracks a bit... average. Will make a good headline act. I've heard again and again that the the other two headliners will be Muse and Green Day, nothing from a reliable source though. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

jmton Posted February 16, 2010 Author Posted February 16, 2010 I just hope the killers are back again they were by far the best last year .
Jackie Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Cool mate, but the festival is in Balado. good spot, the media guy at T didn't even notice that either.
irnbru Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 I just hope the killers are back again they were by far the best last year . Thats the kind of thing that makes it rubbish now - the same bands year after year and people are happy just to pay the money and go anyway. The music and crowd have been getting worse for years - I'm going elsewhere for the first time in 10 years because of it!

The music and crowd have been getting worse for years - I'm going elsewhere for the first time in 10 years because of it! Yep agree with that entirely. I'm considering going to Belladrum this year. A mate of mine went last year and said it was fantastic, kinda the way T was about 8-10 years ago before it became infested with neds.
Dom_Dom Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Belladrum is a family deal. I went last year with my big bro and my nephew and niece. It was a really nice weekend. Not the average "booze and drugs" festival experience. A whole different thing altogether. : )

Cheaper and better than anything here now. I'm going here this year http://eng.exitfest.org/ and been at Benicassim a couple of times. Only really been going to T out of habit and not wanting to miss anything.
IainMorton Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Aren't Green Day headlining? I thought I saw on their website that they were...

Hurricane, Rock am Ring, Lowlands and Pukkelpop all piss over T In The Park. Cheaper tickets, no neds, better atmosphere, sexier women, better weather, cheaper booze and easier to get a good view of the bands at foreign festivals. Doubt I'd go back to a UK festival again. vikingTON Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 And I'm sure Barcelona home matches are better than an away game at Dunfermline too. I think Kasabian have enough British appeal to be on the equivalent level as Kings of Leon were last summer. I can't stick Kasabian, I'll be going to TITP but in all honestly I'd rather go on the dodgems a few times in a row while that mob are on. Seen them twice before, can't see the appeal at all. AWMSC
