forza ton
if this turns out to be true then imo it's unfair on morton. celtic could field an entirely different but quality side in both fixtures. in fact they could probably field 3 teams who should be able to take care of us. Alibi
Can I put in a special request that we win this in one go? I can't be bothered driving up the road three times in four days. The Bewilderedbeast
Did something similar not happen a number of years ago when we played Montrose (I think) in the Challenge Cup, If I remember right David Wyllie was sent off at Cappielow and possibly Andre Boe played the next night at Montrose, we won and that was the start of Boe's three game run. Stato's feel free to correct

We lost and it was fecking freezing. MARTY OUT!!!!!

piehutt
Don't worry, the top bods will never make Celtic play on consecutive days. Obviously they were supposed to play us on the Monday night (like we had to do with Gretna after the replay was called off) but there was no way Celtic were going to play Saturday, Monday with only a days rest. Mags
Wonder what the situation would be regarding entry to parkhead IF we managed a draw. There would be no time to organise tickets....so would it be free for all at the gate...? Travel clubs would have to book buses in advance...then most likely cancel them, don't know if there would be a charge for this. It's not ideal playing the replay the next night....can't imagine they would ever make celtic v rangers do this Mags. Blessings....not just for the one's who kneel....luckily. vikingTON
Aint going to happen. In the unlikely event of a draw there is NO WAY we will play Celtic the next day. These ties will be rescheduled for Monday 18th January. Clubs can request to play on Tuesday 19th should there be mitigating circumstances, however if the game is postponed again or should it result in a draw, then the postponement/replay date will be Wednesday 20th January. Or does someone have insider knowledge that the SFA does not. The scheduling change would have been done with the consent of GMFC, so it's not unfair on us at all actually. If we draw we can blame the idiot who sanctioned the move when our players are knackered at Porkheid. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
