Mayos Noun
best for everyone he has left, he caused too much trouble here, and just didn't give a f*** recently. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.
gmfc_boyo
well not sad to see him go to be honest, player with a lot of potential, but wasted it all, quite sad really he was always in the casinos or pubs etc even before crucial games as we all know, and was one of the highest paid players at the club and its true that dougie had to bail him out, not just on one occasion i dont think, and other stories i know arent really appropriate for a messageboard. shame to see, hope he doesnt come back to haunt us though No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. piehutt
I would gladly have Alex Williams cloned and pay money to every other club to play him against us every week. We'd easilly keep a clean sheet and walk the league. Good riddance I say, hope its true. Does this mean we can get a utility like player in - Scott Bannerman but a bit better perhaps. Probably raid the ole furm reserves again? Twitter... tweet tweet
div
some skunk fans say they want alex williams at love street if they cant get grady 9656 Don't be ridiculous. Alex Williams wouldn't get a game for our ladies team. He's pish. Always has been.
TonToWin
It is always sad to see a player who had promise go wrong however he caused trouble off the field (reportedly) and seemed like a bad influence to the team, By his leaving it frees up a space on the team, saves him just collecting a wage but not playing. It also means all this Alex Williams stuff can be put in the past and we may move on to other things.

Cowshed Chris
Will be interesting to see how his career pans out now he's away from a club carrying such pressure. For his sake, I hope things improve as I'm sure they will. Partick Thistle's top scorer for next year me thinks! TRUST THE DUFF
Rasta Ton
Good riddance, not sad or sorry to see him go one wee bit. The guy was given chance after chance after chance. We've opnly let him go because no-one came in for him, we've been desperate to offload him for ages. He didn't even bother turning up for QoS when given a fresh start there. He's a waster & good riddance. FIRST DIVISION RUNNERS UP 2012/13 Hey Man - Enough of your Stupidness
DongaTon
A lot of short memories here. I agree the boy is a total waster and has been very silly, but he was an important player for Morton in an important time for the club and did well in that period - he should be remembered for that. Genuinely sad about this, but it had to happen and not sorry about it. Just sad at a waste of talent, talent that may now be all but gone. Good luck to the lad wherever he goes, hope he screws the nut. shagster
Short memories perhaps, but 3 goals in his last 33 games for us in Div 2 is pretty pants by any striker's standard.Potentially frees up some money for a loan signing if needs be.

theyorkshirepudding
Good luck Alex. Chatted to you on many occasions during your time with the Ton and always thought you were a good lad, a bit daft at times but still a good lad. Problem seemed to be too-much too-soon. Scoring goals at Third Division level was hardly George Best stuff but when you have 3,000 fans chanting your name every other week it's bound to go to your head, no matter how grounded you are. Nonetheless this had to happen and will hopefully suit both parties in the end. Hope you find your scoring boots again at Stirling but leave them at home when you come back to Cappielow. One thing's for sure, I won't boo when you return. Thanks for the goals kidda, just wish it could have worked out differently!
Muz
The straw that broke the camel's back for me was when Muz posted that he hadn't bothered turning up for the pre-season tour etc. A sad, sad waste. 9622 Thats only what I heard, and not gospel LargsTON. I used to think the sun shined out his erse, and while he was in a Morton Jersey I backed him to the hilt. Funny though, the Burd always thought he was pish, so show's what she knows eh? Anyway, I hope he sorts himself out, as Donga says, he was an important player for us in the past, but I'm glad he's gone.

Guest midTONs
Pity things never worked out for him at Cappielow, I would like to wish him all the best and I hope things work out for him. Now that the chairman and manager have set the standard I hope they keep it up and it's not to long before McCluskey is thrown out the door as well. Wee Dublin End
Anyone want to buy my signed A4 framed photo of Alex Williams in Morton top ? Seriously , very sad story. I wish him well in the future and hope when he is 40 he can look back at a successful career as a professional footballer. GOOD LUCK ALEX
eehbahton
Not much I can say that has not already been stated here. Personally I am sad about how his career has gone off the rails. Thanks for the good memories and good luck for the future. This is however exactly the right thing for both parties.
Davie McArthur
I also wish him well but he's a fantastic example to younger players on how not to conduct yourself. The youth coaches at Cappielow should use him as a case study. He had the world at his feet and chucked it away. He also conned a section of the support (youngsters I would guess) with his headless chicken routine for quite a while before he was found out. He's also a great example of the importance of getting a good education and having skills suitable for everyday life, not just football. Like I say though, I wish him all the best and hope he can prove everyone wrong by turning his life around. MARTY OUT!!!!!
