Good wee player though. I don't blame a single player for holding out until the Summer. If Oakley and Strapp continue the form they have shown, there's going to be much bigger clubs than us interested in them and will most likely leave. ( nuts to think Strapp still hasn't lost a game since his return) Oakley has had so much good press recently, most managers outside the top 4 or 5 will be looking at him as a potential option for next year. Crawford, Blues, Muirhead not quite in the Oakley/Strapp bracket of interest but makes sense for them to keep their options open. Oakley has at least secured himself a contract offer from Dundee Utd next year after ripping them to bits. He’s been an absolute joy to watch and hope he continues on with us. On the subject of Lewis Strapp, he has been ridiculous since his return. Outstanding having a player of his quality in the team, aggressive, clever and a real leader. The throw ins take so much pressure off us at times. Power has also been excellent. Think he’s got a beauty of a goal in him this season, hoping to see it soon! The way he just takes that wee touch or flick and we are away is brilliant. Also love that wee nasty streak he’s got in him, something we have been needing in there. SpoonTon
Tuesday night was Power's first 90 minutes since November. He had played nine 90 minutes up to that point of the season. Whether by choice or necessity, we're using Power in a much better way now and really seeing the benefits. He came in without a proper run of pre/early season games and was playing full matches. By his own admission he wasn't fully fit, and especially by the latter stages of matches he was struggling (you can still see that now when he has tried to overplay things later on in hand and gets caught on the ball). He's been giving us excellent performances for 60-70 minutes every game recently and had become an important part of our outstanding form.
