Nice one. Post promotion bounce then I take it? Crazy how often that happens.

How do you see them getting on this season? You reckon they'll be lucky to stay up?

Yeah pretty much mate, avoiding relegation would be considered a successful season and something to build on.

They played really well last night, the occasion and opposition didn't seem to overawe them at all. Created just as many chances as Anderlecht and although the win maybe flattered them a bit (can't believe how bad Anderlecht's defending was for the winner, they just switched off completely), they were definitely worth a draw at least. Too early to say though if it's post promotion bounce or a sign of genuine quality. Hopefully the latter.

Two consecutive away games now at Zulte-Waregem and the Club Brugge, the second one in particular will be a tough challenge.

See what I mean about Andelecht's defending at the winner...

It was a beautifully timed run across and behind. Looks like a great atmosphere.

Crazy thing too is that a lot of games are evening kick-off, so Friday night catch a game and then down the pub. No fighting with the Mrs over Saturday shopping. Of course the league structure and the end of season Championship cup is a bit wierd, but a better solution that the SPL split!

Great news for all lovers of wee diddy teams out there... following 0-0 draw at home against Lierse last night it means that Oud-Heverlee Leuven can no longer finish lower than 14th, thereby avoiding the relegation playoffs and thus qualifying for the 2012–13 Belgian Pro League. This is the first time in Belgian football history that a team from the city of Leuven has managed to spend more than one consecutive season at the highest level. :)
