That appears to be backed up by former Ayr United, Clyde, Morton and Stirling Albion forward Alex Williams, who this year moved from Dundalk to rivals St Patrick's Athletic.

"It's probably the best artificial surface I have ever played on," said the 27-year-old.

"You can pass the ball about well and, although some players do moan about it, I have no problem with it.

"If you can play football then this surface is ideal."

Whats everyones thoughts on artificial turf?

Obviously it has come on leaps and bound since the stuff laid down at Annfield but still feel from perosnal experience of watching our games against Accies they were a bit of joke with a clear advantage to the home teams from the pitch which seemed to display a strange, unatural bounce - Of course the same could be said for some of the bogs we've had to play on in the past.

The one thing about both Accies and Pars was that they go the use out of the park and all weather pitches could be a much needed money maker for many clubs

it would involve a rule change from the SPL.

Apparently Hamilton were allowed to have an artificial pitch as long as they installed undersoil heating under it. True story.

Also HAmilton were charging boys a fiver a head to train on it and had 200 boys a night on it. Made £1.5 million from it. That is how the youth set up was funded.
