This country is going Mad!! And its not the lunatics that will be taking over this asylum! Its the PC Brigade and the bloody incoming low life that take one way tickets into a Christian Country and then do hee haw but complain about it!

Pakistani's will always be referred too as *racial slur removed*.

Jim, Andy, I'd be interested on your thoughts on Scotia Morton's post above.

Fair comment or out of order?

Hmmm ... it's a bit racist if you ask me. But that's only my opinion and that's why I chose not to comment on it earlier. Again, I can see where he is coming from, and I have a genuine hatred for the "PC brigade" for my own personal reasons. However, he could have worded it better.

As to the influx of "foreigners" - that's another issue. I could argue both ways on this, but this medium does not make it easy. In essense, I have no problem with anyone who enters this country, but I do get annoyed when they use the "racial abuse" card against their hosts when it is not warranted. I could go on at length on this issue, but choose not to at this moment in time.

Aye Andy, it is just a tad racist. :D I've got little time for political correctness and even less time for people who unfairly play the race card. But I wonder some times, just how long do some full citizens of this country, some who are born in this country, have to go on deferring to the indigenous population as 'hosts'?

Aw big chap, and I thought me and you were pals as well. :(

In that case I have now developed a genuine hatred for lanky Mexican porn stars. :P

Lol !!

Seriously - I can't stand them - they cause more problems !!

Who are they to say what we can and cannot say? They are just jumped up self-opinionated @sreholes who don't know what they are talking about half the time. I am totally against racial abuse of any kind whatsoever, but these people jump on the least wee thing and turn it into a mountain with their arms flailing in the air. It's people like these who make me feel afraid to speak my mind just incase I get a single solitary word out of place and become totally mis-understood. It's like watchin that old 70's show "take your pick" - there's a wee bandit standing there ready to batter a gong if you say the wrong word - even if you are being goaded into saying it.

They are in place for the right reasons, but they seem to have the need to justify their existence by scrutinising each individual word in every sentence, and with that they lose all credibility as far as i am concerned.

If things don't change, they'll stay the way they are.

I think probably the saddest aspect of this episode is that people still take notice of what the royal family say and do. Why is such a ridiculously outdated and undemocratic institution taken so seriously? Beats the s*** out of me.

any stick to beat them with, david

the more royal gaffes the closer we come to a glorious republic

We are not home and dry, we could not even be said to be home and vigorously towelling ourselves off!

I agree with most of what you say there, and loved the reference to Take Your Pick. The guy with the gong was Bob Danvers-Walker, who also did voice overs for all those cheesy Pathe News clips that they used to show in the cinema. Milligan did a great skit on Q 4 with John Bluthal as the man with the gong and Spike as the 'quiz inquisitor' Michael Miles. Spike played the part with a false nose held on his face with an elastic band ( Miles was Jewish) Political correctness wouldn't stand for that now. Bluthal, himself a Jew, saw the funny side though.

Agreed - I withdraw the word "hosts" and apologise for it's use in this context incase the PC people bang the gong.

"One Scotland many cultures! The slogan that is promoted these days to dis-encourage racism! And its a slogan that just now is probably very true and most people probably agree with the sentiment behind it.

But I wonder how many will agree with it when in a few decades from now, the white scotsman is the minority race in a Scotland overrun with people of non- western backgrounds.

We should have listened to Enoch Powel all those years ago!
