There's obvious limitations to that, especially if people decide to post the password to everybody - the intent of this forum is that it will be for people who are not averse to a bit more "in your face" banter, some swearies and more heated debate/s***e/arguments/pish * (delete as appropriate). By its nature then it isn't suitable for everyone - so we will control membership through a user group. We already have a list of people who have either expressed an interest or are regular board members who fit the bill of being the right age/mentality etc. But it isn't exhaustive - so anyone who wants to play on the new board give us a shout and we'll work to get you added over the next day or two - obviously depending on the uptake this might take some time - so bear with us as we set it up. Tontastic and Edinton have been brilliant in helping us with this but their lives aren't so empty that they can be at their PC 24*7 attending to membership requests. (well Edinton's life is probably that empty but I was saving that for my first topic on the new board). Seriously, the two lads have gone above and beyond the call of duty so work with us as we get folk added. Point 3 Some of you will be pre-approved when we go live tonight - basically you'll see and have access to the forum - this doesn't mean you HAVE to use it - if your on the list and DON'T want to be, let us know - we'll take you off. Please though, spare us the rock-throwing. If it doesn't work at least it won't have troubled you ! That's the intent. If anyone tries it, hates it and wants removed the option is there. Point 4 Me and Cruisehound will be the two people given the huge responsibility (cough, cough) of being the Fun Patrol. We see this forum being the same as many we've had on this board, and other boards, over the years. What it helps avoid is the example we had where Trick and Upaclose were slagging each other and other people were complaining on their behalf ! By the way Trick, yo mama is so fat that ..... ach, I'll save it for later. Myself and the dug have no desire to be intervening in pishy arguments - so if ye cannae take it or don't like it - you don't need to play on it. BUT ....... use a bit of cop on - nae porn links, no kicking the arse out of it - there's things on this board that will still be unacceptable on the new one - but they'll be few and far between, and so obvious there shouldn't be any confusion. However, starting the way I intend to go on, Boozie has been barred for four days - harsh but fair, so GIRUY Raymie. That'll teach ye not be logged on when we go live. Final Point Most importantly - if you do want to be part of the new board please leave a message on here stating that - myself and the hound will send a list to the two lads and hopefully get us up and running tonight. I'm going out tonight at about eight, so hopefully I can get a list to the lads before then, we'll activate the list we have already and when I get back in at half twelve there'll be s***e patter aplenty.
