The Harry Dunn's are after Steven Gerrard as a new manager.

I reckon this would be a good move for both club and player. Jamie Carragher could be his number 2.

What do others think?
Pathetic acts for a worthless cause.

I can definitely see the logic behind it. The tribute act desperately needs a big name to keep the pyramid scheme known as 'The Rangers season ticket' going for another season, but no established manager would touch the job with a bargepole at the moment. Gerrard could take the opportunity as pretty much a free hit - few in England are going to give a s*** if he fails - while Sevco will probably hope to secure a rent a jobber scheme from the Scousers as well.

They'll most likely still be a comedy rabble on the pitch but that's hasn't been the main concern of the squatters in the 'Big Hoose' for years.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Never thought it would happen but potentially massive, in terms of media attention, for Scottish football. It will be interesting to see who he is able to bring in. Rather him than me though - welcome to a world of bile.

It'll raise the profile of Rangers but not the league in general.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Do you like Abba?

I think there is every chance the Scottish game will gain greater profile. For as long as it lasts there will be a grim fascination and delight for many to see if Gerrard falls flat on his face.
