The policies for the BNP are really quite attractive.....OH DEAR OH DEAR

I must be a racist facist bully boy as i would love our country to run like this

LAW AND ORDER “ crack down on crime!

The BNP will crack down on crime and restore public safety and confidence. We will free the police and courts from the politically correct straitjacket that is stopping them from doing their job properly. The liberal fixation with the ‘rights’ of criminals must be replaced by concern for the rights of victims, and the right of innocent people not to become victims. We support the re-introduction of corporal punishment for petty criminals and vandals, and the restoration of capital punishment for paedophiles, terrorists and murderers as an option for judges in cases where their guilt is proven beyond dispute, as by DNA evidence or being caught red-handed.

EDUCATION “ discipline, standards, achievement!

We are against the ‘trendy’ teaching methods that have made Britain one of the most poorly educated nations in Europe. We will end the practice of politically correct indoctrination in all its guises and we will restore discipline in the classroom, give authority back to teachers and put far greater emphasis on training young people in the industrial and technological skills necessary in the modern world. We will also seek to instill in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the native peoples of Britain.

AGRICULTURE “ quality before quantity!

We see a strong, healthy agriculture sector as vital to the country. Britain’s farming industry will be encouraged to produce a much greater part of the nation’s need in food products. Priority will be switched from quantity to quality, as we move from competing in a global economy to maximum self-sufficiency for Britain. We will ensure a major shift to healthier and more sustainable organic farming. We are pledged to ensure the restoration of Britain’s once great fishing industry with the reimposition of the former exclusion zones around our coast.

HEALTH “ first-class healthcare for all!

We are wholly committed to a free, fully funded National Health Service for all British citizens. We will revitalise the Health Service by boosting staff and bed numbers, slashing unnecessary bureaucracy and by addressing the root cause of low recruitment and retention “ low pay. We will see to it that no money is given in foreign aid while our own hospitals are short of beds and the staff to run them. More emphasis must be placed on healthy living with greater understanding of sickness prevention through physical exercise, a healthier environment and improved diets.

FOREIGN AID “ time to spend our money on our own people!

We reject the idea that Britain must forever be obliged to subsidise the incompetence and corruption of Third World states by supplying them with financial aid. We will link foreign aid with our voluntary resettlement policy, whereby those nations taking significant numbers of people back to their homelands will need cash to help absorb those returning. The billions of pounds saved every year by this policy will also be reallocated to vital services in Britain.

PENSIONERS “ pensioners before asylum seekers!

The conditions in which many of Britain’s old people are forced to live are a national disgrace. We are pledged to ensure that all our old folk are able to live in comfortable homes, and will restore the earnings link with pensions. Elderly people who have paid a lifetime of taxes and reared families should not have to sell their homes to pay for care.

NORTHERN IRELAND “ an end to sectarianism!

Britain has shamefully allowed the terrorists in N.I. to come close to winning when the IRA could have been destroyed years ago. Government weakness has led to hundreds of deaths and given those same terrorists a share in government. We would end all attempts to force the people of Northern Ireland to accept foreign interference in their affairs and deal with terrorism “ from whatever side “ once and for all. No one with links to a terrorist organisation that refuses to lay down its arms should be allowed to enter government. We would abolish state-supported segregation in education. In the long run, we wish to end the conflict in Ireland by welcoming Eire as well as Ulster as equal partners in a federation of the nations of the British Isles.

Icould go on and on but the above is what most people would like.....am i right or wrong?

 Nothing about making the trains run on time? I'm disappointed.

YOU ASKED!!!!

TRANSPORT “ time to invest!

Increased investment is needed in Britain’s public transport system to bring it up to the highest standards in the world. The fiasco of rail privatisation with different companies running services and track leading to higher fares and lower safety also needs to be resolved. Congestion of our towns and cities must be eased by the provision of greater incentives to use rail and bus transport instead of private cars. The first step is to end the crime and squalor that puts so many people off public transport. Motorists must not be made the scapegoats for government failure. Fuel tax should be cut, motorway speed limits raised, and hidden speed cameras should be banned. Far more must be done to encourage the development and use of cleaner fuels.

Do yourself a favour...................................

You were "taught"? So you accept everything that someone tells you without questioning it and coming to your own conclusions based on evidence?

I take Cowshed Warrior's point about positive discrimination. It is wrong. Why do we have an Association of black police officers? MOBA awards? These things just shouldn't exist. Or in a UK where about 8% of the population is Scottish, should we maybe have a lobby group for Scots? imagine the whingeing if that happened...

come on alibi, the police was for decades institutionally racist, organisations such as the ABPO are there to try and prevent further discrimination.

black people did suffer decades of discrimnation in this country, hence why such orginastions exists

as for the MOBO's well everyone knows white people have no rhythymn

nothing too exciting last night, think straw and his ilk have balked at the succes of the BNP as it is their Government who has lurched from one extreme to the other by first entirely ignoring the issue to then attempting to placate racists with Jack Straws anti muslim rant in 2006 (remember his constituency is where the BNP are strongest) and immigration minister (or should that be anti immigration minister) Phil Woolas who has recently been actually using the "indiginous people" line that the BNP have made their own.

labour has a lot to answer for with the rise of the bNP

We are not home and dry, we could not even be said to be home and vigorously towelling ourselves off!

The following rules are basically a free for all

(a) makes a request to be recognised as a refugee under the Geneva Convention on the basis that it would be contrary to the United Kingdom's obligations under the Geneva Convention for him to be removed from or required to leave the United Kingdom, or

b..... otherwise makes a request for international protection. "Application for asylum" shall be construed accordingly.

To me that is an open invitation to flood the country from 3rd/4th world countrys. (irrespective of colour/religion).

Also....

329. Until an asylum application has been determined by the Secretary of State or the Secretary of State has issued a certificate under Part 2, 3, 4 or 5 of Schedule 3 to the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Act 2004 no action will be taken to require the departure of the asylum applicant or his dependants from the United Kingdom.

How long is a piece of string....What we need to do is adopt a stronger policy for immagration rules.....

My soloution would be to close our borders totally and if you cant prove you will bring something to the country and wont live off benefits then you dont get in....

Given that the average asylum seeker receives around £35 a week, I don't think they'll be doing much living off benefits.

Actually succeeding in an asylum claim is very, very difficult. Anyone who thinks the system is a free for all, I would suggest, is someone who doesn't have any experience of the system at any level whatsoever. If the government had such an 'open door' policy they wouldn't bend over backwards to prevent the courts from reviewing failed asylum cases, for one thing. What is more, anyone who thinks we have a tippy-tappy, easy-oasy policy on asylum should look at cases when the home secretary has ignored court orders to the contrary and ordered dawn raids of individuals and their families and bundled them on a plane back home before they can do anything about it.

The asylum reguime is absolutely necessary. It was the rightlessness of Jewish immigrants in the 1940s (fleeing a regime with not disimilar views to that of Griffin), and the desire to dsport them as soon as they arrived in a new country, which made their extermination so amazingly easy. Current asylum and refugee protections stand as a response (a necessary, but inadequate one) to that problem - so to see asylum be twisted by fascists is more than a little worrying.

And Flight Ton - look closely at the list you've posted. It is mumbo-jumbo. They'll remove political correct indoctrination from schools? What does that mean? If it means that they'll teach more honestly the period of Empire then maybe it will be a good thing - people will realise that the British exploitation of third world countries was far more damaging than any asylum seeker and their £35 here.

Does the BNP want all British Nations to be Independant of centralised rule?

we wish to end the conflict in Ireland by welcoming Eire as well as Ulster as equal partners in a federation of the nations of the British Isles.

If so surely their views on education, law and order etc would be null and void.

This is the problem now i think....

Is the BNP name and not the policies.

No, it is their policies. For example, the return of ethnic minorities to their 'home' country, and rules preventing mixed marriages.

The Australians seem to have a good imigration policy....you have to contribute something to Australia IE... have a trade behind you or be qualified to be a nurse/doctor.

I'm sure the indigenous people of Australia are all too aware of the irony of that immigration policy.

Even the ones who make up persecution stories ?

Quite obviously not, but the asylum seekers who are under a genuine threat in their home state deserve our compassion and help.

You were "taught"? So you accept everything that someone tells you without questioning it and coming to your own conclusions based on evidence?

FWIW I consider paedophiles to be sick people (in more than one sense of the word) who have something wrong with them, presumably due to their development or possibly the way they have been brought up (I am told by someone who knows more about these things than I do that many paedophiles are themselves victims of abuse as children). I am not sure whether anyone actually chooses to be a paedophile (as opposed to acting on some sort of inbuilt or conditioned urge). They are however a danger to society and for that reason society needs to be protected against them in an appropriate way.

As for homosexuality, I understand that current knowledge suggests that it is a result of a hormone deficiency or excess in the foetus, resulting in a foetus developing a female brain in a male body, or vice versa. Nobody chooses to be homosexual; it is the way they are formed. Clearly it is quite wrong to persecute someone just because they have not developed into a perfect specimen of humanity the way nature intended, if indeed such a perfect specimen even exists as we all have some sort of imperfection (apart from Andy Ritchie obviously). By the same token, the militant wing of homosexuality does their cause no favours as they want positive discrimination and are not at all happy if people just get along with them quietly and unobtrusively; they seem to have a need to be exhibitionist, and everything has to be viewed through a homosexual lens. All the homosexuals I know personally say they are rather embarrassed by that sort of approach. Actually I do know one bloke who is a bit "I'm gay and that's how I define myself within society and I want you all to know that" and it gets right up most people's noses.

Even the ones who make up persecution stories ?

THe ones who make up persecution stories do not succeed. In fact, the system is so weighed against the applicant that even many of those with perfectly valid persecution stories are sent home.

For example, this week the AIT has ordered that Afghanistan is not a war zone (despite the fact that the US and UK are about to send even more troops there), and that Afghans can be safely returned to that country. This against independent and expert advice.

How many asylum seekers were absorbed into Scotland last year?

No idea - I'll speak to some people about it this afternoon though, so I'll try get a figure form them.

Thanks - I'm not disputing what you say about the difficulty - just curious to know how many got through the system.

It would also help to know how many applicants for asylum are physically in Scotland at the moment.
