I think you're simply annoyed that someone you've known for 25+ years doesn't share the same vision as you and it's eating away at you. I'm afraid my stance is unlikely to change and of course I don't want you to admit anything to me irrespective of how things pan out. Let's just agree that we both want the club to flourish cos that's the bottom line and leave it at that.

I absolutely will take joy if this whole model comes crashing down and the club prospers as a result however if it results in us slipping into obscurity of course I won't. I've had a negative attitude towards it because I'm dead against it, I'm not going to be guilt tripped or forced into endorsing it because "it's the only option we have." However I was gradually being won over to the point I stated on here a few months back that I was beginning to look wrong to have prejudged fan ownership and was ready to start contributing once I'd dealt with some personal financial matters. Shortly after that everything started to gradually unravel in spectacular fashion but I never expected the shitshow we're currently experiencing and believe me I'm not smug in anyway and take no joy or satisfaction be that on here or when discussing it on chat groups with mates. So to suggest I've never been willing to back fan ownership is incorrect. It's up to MCT and the club to convince myself and others this is the way forward and sadly that seems further away than ever now.

Glad we have an understanding then. And you're right, I do find everything surrounding Morton utterly depressing and i see no future for us under the current model. Would you like me to try and put a positive spin on everything to appease you? It's not like 20 years ago when I'd spend hours arguing on messageboards. I simply don't have the time, wish or feel the need to anymore. Morton still seem to dominate your thoughts, that's not a dig btw but I'm sure you'll take it that way.
