so, it's THEIR fault it's been snowing??

Duuuhh!!!!

Stirling Albion FC V Greenock Morton FC

Division 1@ DoubleTree Dunblane Stadium26th December 2010 at 3.00pm - note this match will be subject to a pitch inspection!

UPDATE FOR BOXING DAY

Most of the snow has gone from the pitch.

Unsurprisingly however, the pitch is frozen solid.

Stuart Brown has negotiated with Stirling County RFC to borrow their pitch covers but this is dependant on a thaw - the covers are currently trapped under a cushion of snow and ice at the side of their pitch.

Obviously the thaw is also crucial at Doubletree Dunblane Stadium in advance of laying the covers.

What's in a name?? If they got sponsorship money for renaming the stadium, as surely they did, they'd've been daft NOT to take it, given their financial state.

And they're correct - the thaw IS crucial.

Laying the covers on a frozen pitch would merely keep it frozen.

And, as has been stated here often enough before, at the temperatures we're experiencing (and it's even colder in Stirling) covers ain't very effective anyway.

Therefore, the thaw is crucial for the game to have any chance.

AND it's crucial at the RUGBY club in order to free the covers.

Which is hardly the fault of the people in charge of the FITBA' club.

So, "DUUUHH" indeed....... <_>

Big surprise.

It's a side issue I know but their website is way better than ours for keeping fans informed, half decent match reports etc. They might be a diddy team but we have the diddiest official website in the league and it's not acceptable.

They're all jealous because I conquered my paranoia
