Not gonna argue with you, you're a K**B. <_>

Can't argue, more like.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So it wasn't a term of endearment after all. :D

Still no need for it IMO.

We really wouldn't get on in person then. :(

Shame.

I can see both sides which have been wronged and ignored to their destruction . Our government were instrumental in promising a Jewish state .

The Jewish people of Israel have committed to stay and fight for their ancestral land against surrounding arab nations . So for for 60 years Israel has been in a military state of readiness they will try and repel all threats whether that be from Hamas or anyone else.

We ignored the Palestinians because like other world problems we were ignorant of the dilemma , we were so intent on fufilling our promise to the Jewish people we completely shunned the Palestinians . Even other arab nations have had difficulties intergrating the Palestinians eg Lebanon .

The failure to achieve some sort of lasting peace and resolution is a blight on all governments . No one should condone acts of violence on an unarmed general populus , both parties are guilty equally of committing these acts Hamas are using their people to hide amongst and fire rockets into Southern Israel while Israels superior firepower , airstrikes and such like will obviously kill or injure civilians .

So to me you must condemn all acts of violence and to just blame or protest again one side will achieve nothing .

a vigil has been organised at george square, glasgow, today sunday 28th at 4.30pm to show solidarity for the people in gaza.

the zionists terrorists, funded/supplied by the yankee terrorists, have massacred approx 300 people in gaza. add this to the 110 murdered last march by the zionist state terrorists. add this to the thousands who have died during the 'truce' as the zionist terrorists blocaded the strip. the other 1.5illion people who have been unable to access basic human life necessaties. the casualities to the zionists, since the end of the truce, was 0.

the b*****ds in this situe isnt only the yankees or the zionists, much of the world is aware of their terrorism for the past few years. it is the leaders of the undemocratic arab states who are on the payroll of the 'champions of democracy' yankees, who sit back and shake hands with the yanks and zionists.

the truce has ended, a trucewhere palestinians were kidnapped, murdered, land was stolen, settlements were built all while the palestinians were blockaded.

the zionists try to destroy hamas, the group that they helped found in an effort to get rid of fatah and arafat (rip). it will come back and bite them in the bum when the bombs are going off in tel aviv, more wasted life. reminds me of the mujahad and bin ladin in new york. when wil they all learn.

rant over

support the people of gaza, get along to george square. 4.30pm today.

alternatively boycott, disinvst, sanction the zionist at http://www.bdsmovement.net/

First and foremost, I feel for the innocents that have been killed and injured in the rightful Israeli retaliation to the “Palestinian” (um, I mean Hamas) rockets being fired at them. CNN, Sky and BBC news all report that, since Israel pulled out of the Gaza Strip in 2005, and since the subsequent election of Hamas as the Gaza Strip leaders, there have been 5000+ rockets fired into Israel. Most of the time Israel has taken it and done nothing. Yet the rockets are gaining range as the Syrians and Iranians have supplied rockets with improved distance over the years.

In the past couple of weeks the Israelis have been calling for Hamas to stop firing rockets, and the Israelis have warned that action would be taken if it didn’t stop. Hamas asked for the borders to be opened so much-needed supplies could be brought in. Hamas stated that the rockets would stop if this happened. So, a few days ago, Israel opened the borders. Israel warned of the consequences should the firing of rockets start again. And guess what….not 24 hours later did the rockets begin hitting Israel again. (That was the short version of the story.)

There have also been reports that there is been growing animosity within the Gaza Strip by the public against Hamas, because Hamas is being blamed for the failures on the political and humanitarian side of things, as well as the failure of peace between them and the Israelis because of the rocket attacks. Could this whole thing be Hamas trying to put the Israelis as the blame for all so they can get the will of the people back on their side again, instead of them being blamed (as they should)? Looks like it may have backfired, huh?

Again, I feel bad for the innocents that have been killed or injured, but in closing I have to say one thing…you reap what you sow. The “innocent” “Palestinians” in the Gaza Strip elected Hamas into power, who subsequently pushed out the ruling “Palestinian” government. This is what they voted for, and this is what they get. The people of the Gaza Strip can do something to stop the fighting…kick Hamas out of power AND out of the Gaza Strip so that the rockets aren’t fired from there.

Compared to the suffering of the Palestinian people over the last 60 years or so, we don't have any problems worth talking about. If you knew your history, you would know that the mess in the Middle East is our problem since we played a leading role in creating the Zionist state that is the root cause of the trouble.

Bollox, the people of gaza voted for a terrorist govt, if palastine REALLY wanted to live in peace they could.

Both are correct. Also, before the original “Palestine” was created after WW1, and long before the Arabs invaded after Islam was born, it was the Jews that owned and lived in the land. They were there first…the Arabs (and “Palestinians”) that are there now are descendants of an invading army.

Tell you what, Bro......why don't me and you go over and kick all their asses? It'll be just like back in the day. These ragheads need to remember who they're dealing with.

First - try reading the book of Kings to see how the Jews came to settle the land - if ony Atilla had a Holy Book for his exploits...

The idea that even the majority of Palestinians were Arabic footsoldiers is plain nonsense.

Better no getting involved in domestics. Let them wire in, we've got enough crap going on in our own shores withoot voicing support for that mob.

the brits are involved in the domestics, the brits make it their business to be involved in domestics. they do business with the zionists. information, trade goes between the zionists and brits. your british gov which you had the option to elect

We are to quick to jump to the aid of everyone else and involve ourselves in everyone else's problems we forget about our own.

yeah like going to afghan and iraq. sorting out their problems. maybe there is another reason for controlling these people and sorting out their probs. your british gov doesnt give a fk about your people? true. they have an agenda to control resources and areas outwith the uk. one of these areas is the mid east.

SmithsTON, are you off to Gaza to offer your support? Or will you remain in your comfort zone only occasionally being discomforted by sitting in the cold with a candle?

not been to gaza or west bank since 91. cannot afford it at the moment. will wait until my daughter is a wee bit older before i take her there.

However, a protest demonstation to show "solidarity" with the Palestinian cause to demand sanctions against the zionist (why does no-one just say Jewish?) "aggressors" is a tad more controversial.

becuase not all jews are zionists. sanctions are very controversial

Why don't we just raise a whip-round for them to arm another suicide bomber?

cause that is a stupid thing to say!! that is the last thing the area needs

are the bnp, combat 18, modern hitler youth, and members of the 4R welcome at your wee get together ?

as i am sure you are well aware, you and yer right wing comrades, would not be very welcome. i hope you and yer neo nazi scum stayed away.

why stop at palestine!! we assisted in iraq, iran, egypt, saudi... and one wonders why they have a slight dislike of the brits.

why ? it seems to me to be an anti-zionist protest, im quite sure that the afore mentioned groups have the same agenda

anti semetic vs anti zionist agenda

f*** the people of gaza, mon the irsaelis keep bombing the terrorist f***ers.

lol. mon the taleban and iraqis keep knockin over they british sojers

Really one lot of terrorists killing another lot.

kia ora tom. hope yer well and enjoying a wee break fae the wains. if it was as simple as that. my understanding is that it is women and children and police that have been effected. all regarded as civilians by international law. one group of terrorists who are supported by the yankee and uk govts (to various levels). the other terrorist group has international sanctions against it. i would argue sanction the lot of them

Quite, it suits the ends of Hamas (retention of power) to keep the fight with the zionists going. With an election coming up the Israeli government has to be hard assed too to get the vote out.

Meanwhile the people suffer.

Don't haud your breath waiting for Obama to do owt, Not with Hilary as Sec of State.

That was his way of saying to the Zionist lobby in Washington- business as usual.

too true. the timing has been important. the ngos and journos are away for xmas. nobody to witness it. the zionists will be able to write their own history

WHO CARES? This lot have been fighting for decades and will do so forever!

so had the irish. didnt stop others trying to find a peace for the peoples

To me, those issue's are well worth talking about. Id rather put a tenner in Ardgowan Hospices coffers or do some charity work than donate or stand baltic in George Sq for some corrupt organisation that would rather blow up innocent citizens than aim attacks at Israel's Military.

If it bothers the Socialist Worker Brigade that much, im sure Palestine would welcome your support oot in Gaza. Cheap flights are available to Cyprus and a wee jaunt on a ferry and yir there.

In a 100 years from now that mob will still be fighting each other, so many factions with so many issue's.

Let's tidy oor ain rubbish up first.

Thats all good, stick money in the hospice. middle east politics doesnt float everyones boat. i lived there for years as a kid and have been interested for over 30 years. however, as mentioned earlier, you the brits, are involved in the conflict by your support of the zionists. the socialist workers, along with un workers have been refused entry to palestine/israel... there was a blockade. they found peace in your uk re the prods and catholics in NI.

Sorry SmithsTon, i forgot to go.

f*** sitting next to you on a plane, ya madman.

I'll bet MI5 have got tabs on you.

Nutter.

watch yer back son, the mujaha knows where you stay  lol

If he was to go over to Palestine they wouldn't care less how sympathetic this white guy was to their cause, he'd just be another thing for them to shoot at.

not my experience, obviously when you visited palestine you must have had a different experience then i did. get oot yer single end son

Zip it, you don't know what you're talking about and you're spouting a fair bit of bulls***.

lol

Sitting in New Zealand talking world politics is a bit contrived, how would you like us talking about sheep fornicating, stick to what you know best.

Oh and on the subject, I support the Jews on this. They may be out of order with their bombing raids, but when you have a whole race of idiots whos game plan is to wipe your whole country and beliefs from the face of the Earth maybe you would feel a little justified in retaliating.

I was amazed to wake this morning and be told that Hamas and the Israeli government had settled their differences and had all gone out to get bladdered together, apparently thanks was given to a collection of warriors who gathered in George Sq in Glasgow and successfully demanded the Jews f*** off. Then I really woke up.

Btw I can only conclude from your inane and ultimately wasted ramblings that you still retain your foreskin. At the very least you still have something to hold on to.

You accuse others of being right wing, your views are as extreme as any right wing sympathiser. You are in fact just another version of a nazi.

Morning paul, I'm sure that plenty of civilians have been affected, they always are when these things kick off.

News this a.m. is that Israel are recalling their reservists massing for a show of force on the Gaza frontier.

You mentioned Ireland earlier, that's the one ray of hope that I see. Thirty years ago I could never have conceived the Irsih dispensation.

Mibbies, just mibbies, people in the Middle east will tire of the slaughter and a proper two state solution will be reached.

Single end? It was a bedsit the last time you chose to have a go at me, and I haven't even flitted yet. If you keep it up at this rate i'll be living in a huge mansion in no-time whatsoever.

Anyway, I'd sooner stay in the safety of a single end/bedsit than yearn to join up with the poor wee innocent Palestinians who support a government who fires rockets at Israelis and loves playing the victim card when they reap the consequences.

And out of interest, what would a protest in George Square achieve anyway? Nothing. The centre of a donut, thats what. You wouldnt have such a protest outside Inverclyde Council HQ at Cathcart Square, Greenock, so whats so special about Glasgow that they have to put up with demonstrations which we are powerless to do anything about?

I can picture the scenario of two clueless Glasgow Councillors looking at an angry mob with placards eg. "Allah is Great", "Death to the Zionists" etc. whilst one asks "Ur they livin' in damp hooses?"

It's going to be difficult to create a viable Palestine if Gaza and the West Bank remain enclaves. If the option to resettle ALL the inhabitants of Israel/Palestine was avaiable, it would surely make things more straightforward than the current fudge. How about a three state solution?
