#1129265 Time To Go, Hopkin

Posted by capitanus on Yesterday, 06:45 PM

Well we will have the most expensive season tickets in the third tier next year. That's where Hoppy the Hoop is going to take us.

Edit to add:

Here comes Zhivago for his usual 'woo-hoo, look at me' gloat. Fuck off in advance.

#1129163 Rangers FC - Abuse cover-up discovery

Posted by capitanus on Yesterday, 09:23 AM

I did note from reading Twitter this morning that the attitude of the Celtic support appears to be along the lines of “we’ll not be lowering ourselves to the level of the Rangers fans by mocking them over this latest development”.

Basically, “we’ll make you bloody sure that everyone knows we know all about it, but won’t be seen to be loving every single second of it because that gives us the moral high ground; similar to how our party songs at games aren’t actually sectarian, but you get the hint. Nudge nudge, wink wink”.

Fooling absolutely nobody.

That's a bit of a strange reading of the situation. I think it's more akin to Myra Hindley and Rose West arguing over who is the better person.

#1129048 Our football club, the great burden

Posted by capitanus on 13 October 2019 - 10:31 PM

The minute the patriarch died, the Rae family couldn't withdraw their support fast enough. This is their right, of course, and they are under no obligation to subsidize a hopeless provincial football club until the end of time. But the Rae family, as a group, really haven't displayed any of the attributes you're talking about here. DDF did, but at the cost of the club's long-term stability. Crawford I have some sympathy with, as he's left holding the bag and, to be fair to him, he's at least putting in the hours. The rest of them are presumably in on this "stop asking for us to run Morton properly or we'll sack everyone" harangue. They can fuck right off. If they inherit the company they can inherit the decisions that got us here, NONE of which are the fault of the Morton support.

Great post.

He's absolutely desperate for a bite from someone.

Here's hoping they've got AIDS then. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.

#1128948 Championship 19/20

I like Everton. I feel as though they've lost some of the magic since Moyes left them, and they started to spend big again. But they're something special.

Ysee, there is an element of the 'natural order' of things when Liverpool, Manchester United or Arsenal win the league, which I find easier to accept regardless of whether or not I like them. Man City not being shite and getting pumped all the time kinda goes against the natural order of things, which I find difficult to accept. I'm a traditionalist.

Still, it's nothing that a huge recession which cripples the Islamic world wouldn't cure.

Landlords, of any and all description, are scum of the earth.

I'm sure most do. But I'm also sure most renters would rather be able to afford their own property than be forced into paying a small fortune every month to an industry that exists primarily for the rich to ring-fence their wealth in the easiest, most hands-off manner possible.

Scum of the earth was harsh. You can't blame individuals for seeking to increase their lot.

Fkin'ell that was some U-turn, that.

I saw that around the same time as I posted on here yesterday evening another alias was created on his site 'IonaCourt' which was the name of a scheme where I lived until I was around four years old.

He's a really sad prick.

HikingTon is my favourite, marvellous!

Aha, I see what he done there:

HikingTon = VikingTon.

There is also someone called 'Feeney' who has posted several times on there, and I doubt very much it will be one of the two brothers who are regular on here.

Its Sa-aa-aad.

Some cunt posted using Cappiecat as their username. It's certainly not me, I'm neither desperate nor sad enough to post in that place.
I'll stick to being desperate and sad in here.

You're not the only one, there's Peejay (who calls the MCT 'Hairbrained'), Russellton, Pledgerton (from Skelmorlie), Nickr, Blade Runner, Jonathan Jones, StuartTon (with a clown avatar). - I doubt very much any of those are the people whom they claim to be either.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's Gordon having a meltdown. Just laugh at him.

#1128817 General Football - Weird Results And Other Things Worth Sharing

Posted by capitanus on 06 October 2019 - 06:10 PM

The Harry Dunn's are top of the league this evening. I wonder if they'll have a 'stars of 2019' evening in 40years time. They've got enough dribbling mutants in their support to make sure that the aftermath is a real fiasco....

It is the (second*) most toe curling, cringe inducing pile of turgid keech ever seen on the net.
*almost forgot about the blog.

I wasn't aware there was an alternative forum. I will now make a point of not seeking it out.

It's not so much as an 'Alternative' forum, rather than two sad individuals with around a dozen aliases each having 'dull as dishwater' conversations with each other.

They had a matchday thread with no posts during the match itself, but then it springs into life when 'Admin' copies and pastes a BBC match report at 6.30pm, followed shortly afterwards by replies from the legend that is 'Russellton', then 'Johnny Bravo' and 'Blade Runner'. All posts and replies seem to happen within minutes of each other, followed by long quiet spells. Funny that, isn't it?
