Here is how I see it,

Watching Chris yesterday brought back the same thoughts of him that we all had last season.

I know its only his first game of the season, so I will leave judgement till a few games in.

But I will add that there is no way we should do a William's again, play him every game even though he can't cut it. 4/5 games down the road and he hasn't banged em in get Jason on, stuff yir £100K, we need, as in need to get to the first by the end of this season regardless.

Winning games is all that counts, and that should be our aim, forget what we paid for anyone, just field the best players on that day!! :D

New messageboard, new season, same old greetin faces!! Chris has played 2 games and is just coming back from injury FFS can't the boo boys give him a chance? If they don't I feel another Williams happening, severe lack of confidence leading to playing worse etc etc etc.

That's the biggest pile of sh!te I've read in ages. Williams' downfall was hee-haw to do with confidence and far more to do with his continued breach of club discipline, the casinos, the booze, not turning up for training, etc, etc. How many chances are we supposed to give someone that isn't performing? Wait until we're condemned to another season in Division 2? If some of you had your way, we'd still be giving Cowboy more time to prove himself.

No player is irreplaceable and it is Morton that I am concerned about and getting us to the 1st division this season at all costs. McInally has offloaded most of the failures from the past two seasons and I suspect that Templeman, although a recent arrival is perhaps not McInally's choice but given the price tag has to go with him. How else can anyone justify his continued selection when he's been so poor? That however is not Templeman's fault nor is his price tag.

Why is it that everyone who criticises a player for what have obviously been poor performances is labelled a boo boy? I for one have praised Templeman on the odd time he's played well. The fact remains however that he's too slow and has absolutely no positional sense at all. No amount of "good service" will make up for that.

FIRST DIVISION RUNNERS UP 2012/13

1 I was making a comparison about him having a lack of confidence if the fans are on his back a la Williams previously regardless of the reason!!

2 The fact people are criticising after 0 yes that's ZERO meaningful games is what makes them boo boys. Call the RC cup meaningful if you want, but that doesnt get us to the 1st division!

3 He is slow, but still managed to bang in 20 plus goals last season albeit not too many for us, give him a chance is all I am saying, as you said earlier the price tag isn't his fault.
