Match Preview/Thread - Morton vs Ayr United (4th December)

I thought Ayr were one of the worst sides I've seen at this level in a while (and quite unduffylike in their loose play). If we weren't going to win today, it was difficult to see where the next win would come from. It's been a long, long time since we've seen a win at Cappielow in the league.

I thought our front two were decent today, especially Ugwu. A bit patchy at times, but an improvement - there's hope there.

The substitutions were mindbogglingly bad. To keep Lyon and Jacobs on the bench when we were beginning to give up space in the midfield was baffling. He brought on a nothing player and a youth player and we have up even more space. There was no defence for Gus after that. For weeks now he's been throwing on kids in important games, as if that was more important than the results. It's felt like the end of the road for weeks.
