Colkitto
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/6992890.stm BBC Scotland has responded to criticism after its failure to secure rights to broadcast live television coverage of Scotland's historic win over France. The Euro 2008 qualifier in Paris, which saw a wonder goal by striker James McFadden, was shown live by satellite broadcaster Sky Sports. The BBC broadcast coverage of England's match with Russia instead. Don't blame me I voted Yes!!!! - We tried to tell you !!!!!
Rasta Ton
Surely the SFA and the government are to blame by allowing major sporting events to be horse traded to the highest bidder. Anyway, my local was packed and we had a great time. FIRST DIVISION RUNNERS UP 2012/13 Hey Man - Enough of your Stupidness

Some people can't afford to subscribe to SKY as well as paying a licience fee Don't blame me I voted Yes!!!! - We tried to tell you !!!!!
puggsy_ton
It's the SFA's decision is it not? And I went out and watched it and spent £1.50 on a coke and nothing else

Brave boy in this town walking home late at night ! The SFA will take what is on offer just like the FA. Only the FA got a better offer Don't blame me I voted Yes!!!! - We tried to tell you !!!!! L'aeroplanino
What he means is, how could you possibly walk to the pub and back without you mummy holding you hand. Big deal that Sky had it. They have the best coverage of football around at the moment and they have the least annoying commentators so what is there to moan about. TRVMP
I can't believe people are blaming the SFA for trying to get the most money for the game. The SFA are the ones who pay to keep the squad going, and to employ a manager. Not the BBC or Sky or anyone else. The SFA has to look out for its own interests and, sadly, that meant the game wasn't on terrestrial. I didn't get to see it, but that's down to the BBC and my own decision, not the SFA. What it means is a vast majority of Scots did not see the game live. Not everyone can afford SKY or go to the pub and watch it. We pay the same licience fee as the viewers in England, yet they see their game, we don't. No matter what way you look at it, it's not right ! You would still have an excuse if they made the TV license half price in England and put it up elsewhere to cover the cost. I thought that guy commentating on SKY was a w*nker i was sick of him going on about France.
L'aeroplanino
I would still have an excuse?? Yeah right ok then. Suddenly because i prefer the coverage on Sky to BBC, that automatically makes me a unionist fool who blindly follows the rule of a corrupt government and comes up with excuses no matter what the arguement. Grow Up!! If they made the tv license half price in England then i would be annoyed and would argue against it. I wouldn't try and make up some excuse to try and make it seem ok. To think i would its seriously pathetic. And BBC couldn't care less who pays what for tv licenses. Just that they are getting money. Lord Haw haw
I think this shows the need for a British Team. Yes the Scots beat the French but usually they are one of the more boring teams to watch, so no doubt this is why the BBC opted to show the English game, thinking that people across Britain would want to see a better class of football being played. See if it was a British Team then we would now all be happy. My point speaks for itself really.
