  1. Lewis McGregor away to Coleraine for an undisclosed fee.
  2. True. I’m sure he was correct about Andy Millen being let go so maybe my judgement has been clouded by that. I thought there was other things he’s said as well but my memory is awful so maybe I’m just clouded by that. let a man dream that Dale is away okay.
  3. Just me that thinks John369 has been correct with most things he says? Sure there’s been a few slight details wrong possibly which is par for the course when you’re hearing second-hand information but by and large almost everything he’s said has had some truth to it. I would be delighted if Dale is away. An absolute bluffer from day one and leaves the legacy that he was always destined to leave here, hee-haw.
  4. Has Murdoch not been at Morton since he was about 8 years old or something? A £200k development fee doesn’t sound too unrealistic to me, and neither does the fact a club like Sheff Utd would be willing to pay it. In an ideal world you’d like him to sign a new deal and then sell him with a signing on fee however I’m not really sure what the benefit of that is to Murdoch. If he does go then we don’t have a choice anyway as he’d be moving under freedom of contract so I’m more than happy for us to pocket that £200k.
  5. A massive thank you to everyone who participated, this has been the most engaged with vote in MCT’s history. 70% turnout 90% in favour 9% against 1% abstained
  6. Ended up voting yes. I was sufficiently convinced by Brian Bonar to take him at face value and the board should thank him thoroughly because as has been said by someone else their go to mode always seems to be secrecy and lack of transparency while he came out directly and verbally assured the members on the majority of issues we had. I have even less trust and faith in the people running the club than I did before however for the good of the upcoming season and with the assurances given last night I feel it’s more important to take the small victories rather than throw everything out with the bath water at such a late point. Hopefully if the people are added to the board with the right skillsets then we can see the improved governance talked about, and in terms of wanting people removed from the board or their positions it will hopefully be easier to put that in to place with some actual preparation time rather than being forced to make a decision with a gun to our heads that would hurt the club in the short term.
  7. I was on zoom as well so couldn’t hear that bit well either. I know he was lying about being in favour of community ownership and when he was explaining how everything good that had been done was down to him yet everything bad was for the board to answer. He made clear in his opening statements that the Dalrada deal is much more income than received from MCT members and that’s his true colours on what he really thinks about fan ownership. I do wonder exactly why that fan was calling him a liar but they moved on pretty sharpish from it.
  8. I was surprised as much as 48% of the members had already voted before the meeting tonight. You’d have to imagine the majority of those are yes votes as surely a large portion of people who would vote no would at least wait until after the meeting. (I say this as a hypocrite who hovered over the vote no button twice at different points before convincing myself not to be so hasty)
  9. Laird came across as arrogant at points, the self righteous hero of the situation at others and downright lied in others. All par for the course. Bonar also made it clear that he wants the members to be communicated with better from the board and came across as someone who doesn’t stand for much nonsense, so hopefully with an increase in his funding he takes a closer look at some of the causes of nonsense over the past months.
  10. There was not one thing that Laird or the board said that changed my mind at the meeting. They were about as useful as they have been running the club previously. Brian Bonar spoke over zoom and convinced people more in 10 minutes than MCT and GMFC have in weeks. He agreed to let fans see the contract, that we could replace him as front of shirt sponsor if the club can find another deal and that all he wants on the board is people with the correct skills involved and that they can be MCT members if they have those skills. he came across as very direct and honest and more switched on at 78 years old than anyone else on that panel. The arrearments were also due to his ill health earlier in the year but he now has his family involved to adhere to the deal in the instance his health took a turn for the worst again. I’ve probably been convinced to vote yes for the first time in this whole process purely on the basis of his clear communication. I still don’t trust Laird or members of the board however I’m more willing than I was to look past that then I was an hour ago. I’ll sleep on my decision before voting.
  11. The video is fine in isolation for me and any extra information is welcome to help me make my decision. my only worry was that it was uploaded as normal for everyone to see and then removed for whatever reason at a later time. If it’s all in good faith then it’s definitely more extra information that may help inform people’s decisions. I’m still not sure I can get past the lack of trust in the people asking us to vote though, but I’m certainly closer to voting yes than I was when when this nonsense all started.
  12. That’s my issue with it being unlisted on YouTube as well. The whole issue for me is about trust and I’m sitting here not knowing if that video has been uploaded to be unlisted in error from the start or if it was posted in good faith and then later unlisted for whatever reason. If it is the latter then the unknown reason for that only creates more distrust in me given the people involved.
  13. Is that video unlisted?(meaning you can only view it if you have a direct link to it like above) When I viewed it there had only been 28 views in 21 hours since it was posted and it doesn’t appear on the list of videos posted from the YouTube account. If the video has been removed then what is the reason for that? It could be as simple as a technical error by whoever has uploaded it, or it could be that they had to unlist it because Sam put on record agreeing to something that he wasn’t supposed to?
  14. Utterly shameless statement designed only for fans and members who don’t follow the subject closely to fall for it. A statement from him is very welcome and needed however there was absolutely valuable or new information provided in that.
  15. Great news for us fans that he’s staying but I can’t help feeling sorry for Imrie. Stuck working for a board he has a terrible working relationship with, doesn’t trust and all without his trusted assistant manager by his side. I can’t help but feel that this just delays the inevitable and a clean break at the end of a season might have ended up being best for both parties.
