ThornTON
Nevio Scala He was the coach of Parma, back when they were good and both the Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Cup. He has managed in Russia, Germany, Turkey and Ukraine as well, but has been out of management and working as a local councillor since leaving Spartak Moscow in 2004. theoceanfloor
His Parma team of the mid 90's are one of my favourite teams of all time. Alessandro Melli, Faustino Asprilla and Thomas Brolin (pre-pies) up front, Dino Baggio and Gianfranco Zola in midfield and brilliant attacking full backs in Di Chiara and Benarrivo (not to mention a young Buffon in goal and a central defensive partnership of Cannavaro and Thuram). They were an aboslute joy to watch at times. To be honest, I'm not too well up on how he's fared since but at least he has experience of European football that the likes of Levein haven't (and Burley didn't).
