I am in the middle of a clear out and have 53 Morton home and away programmes from 2002-2007 looking for a new home. Very useful if you want to see where we are probably heading in the seasons ahead. Not being local it will have to be a handover at a game. For my sins, I am intending to make the Partick game on Saturday and will be at Ochilview the following week. Anyone interested?

The reliance on the Dalrada money is the reason we are where we are. As a club we appear to be paying the wages of players who were only kept on as we assumed Dalrada were picking up the tab. Nothing against them but would we have chosen to sign these same players if we had known Dalrada were likely to default on payments? It just confirms to me Morton cannot survive as a full-time club and we have to consider the alternatives. Next Saturday could be brutal. I don't see our support turning out in numbers. You can see the rot has already set in and the league campaign has not even started. Normally we have hope but even that well has run dry. As for Estrella...

Rejoice it appears we had a shot on target in the first half.

It just comes across as Murray having chucked it but not wanting to take any responsibility. We may have limited resources but being unable/unwilling to field a team in a pre-season friendly and folding at home to the mighty Linlithgow Rose suggests much of the blame is correctly directed at Murray.

Four games in still no goals and not even a shot on target today. No chance this will encourage the fair weather fans to attend.

When he was not given the no 1 jersey you suspected he was not signed to get the first choice but with Dalrada not stumping up on time we have no choice. What gets me is we have had him in training for months beforehand and still Murray added him to the squad.

We have to be realistic - Inverclyde is an area with a declining population and economic base. There are not many DDFRs out there. Sadly folk still prefer to head up to Glasgow. All of us just have to keep on doing what we can if we want our club to survive.

In amongst all the doom and gloom there was sadly no good news. Even if the Estrella deal completes there is no budget for new players. Our only hope is another club takes pity on us and offers up some free loans. It makes it all the more frustrating we do not have a cooperation agreement with anyone. You can only go to the well so often as this season is proving.

I wonder what the bad news is?

Looks like time for a reactive statement confirming things are as bad as the support is fearing. If that is the case there will be a meltdown going in to the season with this squad.

Comms were much improved under Russell - I assume we will be back to the bad old days. I assume though Russell is now more able to freely express himself without the constraint of being on the MCT Committee.

To be fair a pay off tends to be the norm.
