  1. You could ask the same question about most of the squad.
  2. I had low expectations today but I was still unprepared for the mess of both Cappielow and our squad. At least I now know not to waste my time on Tuesday travelling to Fife. Linlithgow thoroughly deserved the win and were unlucky it was not a wider margin. They out thought and out fought us for most of the 90 minutes. We were a shambles and it looked as if our pre-season involved training for walking football. Defensively we were all at sea, our midfield hardly won a tackle and up front we looked as toothless as last season. Difficult to believe we were the full-time team. Once again we can write off a League Cup run. I just hope we do not get thumped in the remaining fixtures - it is a real possibility. Without better signings things already look grim for the season ahead. The apathy in the club was shared by the sparse crowd who struggled to even find the anger to boo. From what I have been told I don't think Murray's after match comments in the Tele will help.
  3. We cannot even afford to cut the grass.
  4. Morton cancelled not CSS.
  5. Delighted that Moffat and Comrie are moving on but disappointed we have to suffer another infuriating watch next season as Garrity does what Garrity does. If you wanted any further proof we are at the bottom of the food chain this is it.
  6. I think we have to be realistic about the pond we are swimming in. Even in the Championship we appear to be among the lower payers. The reason Delaney, Moffat and the others who have not accepted new terms are off is because they either have or expect to receive better offers. Realistically we will struggle to get a better standard of full-back or winger but hopefully find replacements more suited to the style of football Murray wishes to play.
  7. A more interesting friendly. A ground many fans will never have visited and a chance to see the new players and trialists
  8. We are clearly working on a much reduced budget this coming season. As this is resulting in many of the squad looking elsewhere we might get the squad reset we were promised by default. It promises to be a challenge for Murray. It also highlights how Imrie failed to spend wisely last season.
  9. I would rather all parties take their time and make sure any agreement is ready to take to the fans. If it takes a bit longer than initially expected so be it. Better to get it right first time.
  10. No ill will to Blues as he gave his all throughout his time at the club. He was moved all over the park by different managers as he was seen as versatile and dependable. While it looks a strange sideways move to me, I hope it works for the lad except when he is in direct opposition.
  11. Measured any which way you choose over the course of last season our attacking options out wide and up front were ineffective duds. I am not questioning the effort of some more the lack of quality. Why anyone would choose to sign these players up again is beyond me.
  12. So many eternal optimists believing Garrity and Moffat will suddenly morph into effective footballers rather than the sand dancers they are as evidenced by their time at Morton. If we need to move on we need to bin the majority of the squad from last season.
  13. Why are we wasting our limited budget on ineffective sand dancers and players like Gillespie and Comrie. So much for the promised land as it looks like we are back to targeting 8th in the league.
  14. Another example of an ex player that some were clamouring for Murray to resign only for said player to drop down to the league below. If Strapp like some others are so good why is it their careers have stalled or gone backwards?
  15. Unless he is being paid peanuts this just seems like a waste of a limited budget. Nothing against the guy but he is no spring chicken and is more likely to spend time on the physio table than on the park. O''Halloran being unveiled as one of our first signings for next season is under whelming.
