Last two seasons we've had early cup exits, aside from the non-event against Aberdeen at Cappielow. The two seasons prior to this, we had away cup ties to both of the arse cheeks (televised) and a run to the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals, which brought in cash we wouldn't otherwise have seen.

You think you've seen everything as a Morton fan and then today comes along. 1-0 totally flattered us - Linlithgow Rose were superior in every department and should have won by more. Ten years ago we were beating Killie away in this competition, now we are pretty much already out. I won't be going to any of the other group stage games. The St. Johnstone game could be fun. And to cap that, our opponents for our first league game appear to be scoring for fun.

How many subs will we have? I know there's a rule on trialists for this stage but can't recall off hand what it is. Hopefully not harking back to that Falkirk game where we named only one sub.

Anyone else going to this? Not a clue what to expect.
