  1. If we can go into pre-season with the following squad, I think it gives us a good base to work with. Keeper- Murdoch Defence- Ballantyne, Delaney, Longridge, Owens, Moore. Midfield- Mcpherson, Blues, Wilson, Robertson. Forwards- Moffat, Brophy, Garrity. Gives us a nucleus of 13 players and still allows Murray to bring in 7 or 8 of his own players. Don't think the squad needs massive surgery and I doubt we can afford it either but will be interesting to see the type of player Murray brings in. The rest can go unless they fall under the Dalrada 288k deal in which case we might as well keep them around for another year as a freebe.
  2. Great win that. Played some good stuff and should really have been game over at half time. Arbroath really came into second half and had plenty of pressure but I can't really think of a save Johnston made, if anything, we looked more dangerous on the break. Was a nervy last 20-25 but need to remember Arbroath are a good team and had only lost 2 of their last 16 league games. Im not a fan of Shaw but thought he had a good game today. Beat Dunfermline next week and that will see us safe and actually give us half a chance at top 4, mental.
  3. Remember Dalrada are willing to cover a number of renewals so we might as well utilise that if possible. If we let them go and need to replace, it will eat into the budget. I remember Murray saying he'd like to keep them all so presumably they've had offers but are waiting to see what league we ( and others) are in next season. With Dalrada chucking in 288k potentially and Estrellas first 250k presuming that goes through, hopefully the budget gives Murray a chance to build something half decent.
  4. Perfect timing with Blues back in the squad.
  5. Aye thats the one question I'd like answered. What if they dont pay the 250k in year 2 or year 3 for example, where does that leave us? As long as we are protected, i think its a deal we can't say no to and optimistic about our future with their input and involvement.
  6. Murray in the Tele confirming Lee Hollis has joined as new Keeper coach. Ex Airdrie and Motherwell keeper who's coached Cumbernauld Colts and Queens Park ladies team recently. Glad we have someone in at least.
  7. Good to see Brophy find a bit of form too recently. Thats 3 goals in his last 6 games and those goals are typical goals I'd expect to see from a player of his quality, good movement and smart finishes. Hopefully it continues and he can finish on double figures. Guessing he's probably our top earner so good to see he's producing the goods.
  8. Really enjoyed that tonight. Iain Wilson was simply brilliant, an excellent performance. Cammy Ballantyne has been outstanding the last few weeks as has Delaney. I'd have been happy to let Delaney go but hes been really impressive of late, long may it continue. We've given very few clear cut chances away the last few games so huge credit to Murray for making us hard to beat. If the final ball was better tonight, we'd have scored a few more. Main had an off night in front of goal but he is a handful to play against with his running and aggression, similar to Oakley in that respect. Win the next two( very winnable) games and it will see us all but safe and a fighting chance of a top 4 finish.
  9. Thought both were good today, Gillespie especially.
  10. If it is the same person who mentioned it on here and also stated at a similar time he had the funds to buy the club, it would be very poor indeed.
  11. Based on the fact that Dalrada will be covering 5 of the contract extensions we are control of, we'd be foolish to do anything other than sign them on again as if we let them go we are shooting ourselves in the foot with less players and a smaller budget. Not sure who they are but Murray apparently wants to keep them all which is good news.
  12. Looking at his stats, he's scored 11 goals and only had 18 starts for Ayr, (obviously had sub appearances) Ayr fans seem happy hes away but hopefully they'll be regretting that in a month or two. Decent window for us.
  13. Stopped reading after Transfers Scotland..
  14. The high press was really impressive yesterday. The Brophy hitting the bar chance was a prime example, Moffat, O'Halloran, Ballantyne and Blues all pressing together allowing O'Halloran to nick it and it really should have been our second goal. The workrate from everyone was brilliant, long may it continue.
  15. Really enjoyed that. Gave away a couple of early chances but they never lay a glove on us until the last 5 minutes. No failures today but thought all 4 wide players were fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of Delaney but he was brilliant and very unlucky not to score, easily his best game for us Ballantyne had a great game too, solid as a rock that boy. Big Owens slotted in well, looks very composed and has a bit of pace abit him too. Hard to believe he's not played in so long. Wilson was class once again. We should be 9/9 from that lot, we've battered them every game, and that's them with their tails up after a couple of wins. Look forward to seeing who we bring in over the next day or two, they could make all the difference. The next 4 are all very winnable.
