  1. If a contractual situation changes with a sponsor then a team can remove or replace their branding from the kit (e.g. the sponsor goes bust or breaches contract). In this case, if Dalrada have failed to pay the specific portion of their obligation related to the shirt sponsorship, if that was considered discrete and separate to their other contributions, then there should be no issue in slapping another logo on top of theirs. Other significant design changes would likely need approved on a case by case basis and would need to be justifiable.
  2. We can’t afford to carry two left sided defenders in the squad, but an abundance of midfielders? Hopefully this is a sign that Dalrada have ponied up with their late payment(s) and we’ll have enough in the pot to bring some more balance to the squad (though more likely loosening the purse strings in anticipation of the Estrella deal getting approved by MCT members imminently?)
  3. Looks like this teamwear: https://www.totalfootballdirect.com/joma-new-area-goalkeeper-set-dark-grey
  4. I take it that black and grey shirt is the home GK shirt? Looks pretty smart. Don’t see it listed on Smith’s site.
  5. I have enormous respect for MCT for keeping the club going, picking up the reigns from the uncertain spot we were in after Mr Rae passed, for trying to drive us forward and aiming towards sustainability. A huge number of voluntary hours have gone in to this from people who are also dipping in to their pockets each month in to the bargain. Not to say that’s a free pass for everything and anything they enact, agreeing with the members of the MCT board I’ve interacted with who acknowledge that scrutiny is right and proper. I’m not convinced by how GMFC have utilised income from MCT and Dalrada so far, and feel many of the overtures made about new income streams, ground improvement, utilising technological expertise, etc. have not evidently come to very much. We can but hope that once the Estrella deal is fully over the line and they bed in we’ll see some benefits, but for the moment it looks as though we have an under strength, underprepared and underperforming squad without much prospect of adding significantly to it.
  6. Wonder if he has his grandfather Peter’s gift for storytelling?
  7. Has the time differential finally aligned?
  8. He looks quite a muscular fella in his Instagram pics. Did he look like a ‘physical presence’ sort of forward?
  9. I liked that Delaney seemed willing and able to run all day. He showed on a few occasions he could deliver a really good ball in to the box, too, but never consistently enough to say that’s something we’ll be missing in particular now he’s away. Longridge doesn’t have the same legs, so I presume the hope is he’ll be a steadier, consistent option, with less expectation to get forward as often. He could tuck in with the centre backs to make a three to allow the right back to start or join attacks.
  10. We require more of the award-winning level, fact-based analysis befitting of this proud forum.
  11. The hope is that investing into the infrastructure now will pay dividends in the years to come. We need Cappielow set to be an income generating asset rather than costing us heavily in maintenance. Easier said than done, but I support the efforts towards sustainability and have my fingers crossed we can assemble a squad that can compete while still cutting our cloth accordingly.
  12. I think you’re actually spot on. At a guess the next kit announcement/launch will come closer to the league campaign kicking off.
  13. Is the winner of the vote between these options going to be released as a third kit?
  14. The red and black kit is listed as 25-27 so will be used for a second season.
