  1. Hearing that there was a fair amount of anger flying around the EK changing room at FT yesterday. I would, for more than one reason, prefer Stranraer stay up. I'm hearing that a couple of clubs in the senior tiers (Edinburgh City presumably being one) have similar standards to that which kept Buckie Thistle out of the play-offs and, despite having had two years to sort it out, haven't.
  2. Being top of the league and then not even making the play-offs was the best part for me, followed by that absolute horsing by Airdrie. I agree that they'll probably be decent football-wise next season.
  3. Watching the highlights - how the f**k that that ground be allowed in the senior tiers?
  4. Full time in Ayr. Unless we concede a few late goals, we'll be 5th.
  5. Booked for a dive and booked again for dissent. 2-0 Queen’s Park.
  6. Ayr back to 3-3 which somehow puts us 5th again (for now).
  7. Player of the Year - Close call, but I'd go with Mullen. Goal of the Season - Sticking with games I was at - Muirhead's 2nd against Ayr. Best Signing - Lewis Strapp, same reasons as stated elsewhere Most Significant Goal - George Oakley's late winner at Ayr which came after three winless games (and yes, we got 1 point from the following 12, but it was vital at the time). Best Game - Muirhead 3-0 Ayr or the Motherwell game. Worst Game - Morton 1-4 Partick, although the opening 15 minutes of the 1-2 Dunfermline game at Cappielow was horrendous.
  8. Because at that point we were looking the better side, albeit we’d left it late. A winner was a possibility in a game where we ought to have been behind, yet rather that go for it, Mullen was told to hold onto it. The guy in front of me absolutely lost it at Imrie for that.
  9. Agree - without Mullen we'd have lost that. We switched off after going ahead and really only got going again in the last five minutes. Bit disappointed to hear Mullen being told to slow down in the final moments rather than getting to his feet and get the ball up the park.
  10. 2-0. What's the odds that we don't make use of the wind at all after the break?
  11. https://gmfc.net/ayr-united-vs-morton-ticket-information-4/ Guess we haven't shifted enough tickets yet to get behind the goal.
  12. I'll second that. Had all the makings of being our best manager since Benny Rooney but for H*** S**** dismantling everything from within. Billy, happy retirement - cheers for THAT day ay Love Street.
  13. Pleased with that. Bearne had an excellent game. Thought Power was quieter but Queen's did seem to be marking him very closely throughout the game. Agree that Quitongo looked good. Mention for Ferrie for going down clutching his head, then getting back up to "square go" Bearne before sitting down clutching his head again, just for effect and to ensure a booking. Glad to see him chuck in Robbie's free-kick, although with the sun in his eyes all Robbie had to do was get it on target. Back to looking upwards again.
