I don’t share quite the same bravado or enthusiasm for Muirhead’s departure as some do. Clearly, when he’s been on song he’s been a very important player for us and a good goal scorer for our level. I wouldn’t mind seeing him replaced with someone who has more pace and is more inclined to press from the front. Hopefully alongside George and the new lad Davies.

Guess French will be at centre back alongside Broadfoot and Blues shifted to right back?

Felt we were a little fortunate to be awarded that penalty. Would have happily celebrated it hitting the net, though.

Been a tough watch, this

Almost got to admire the shithousery/gamesmanship. Almost. Then again, you could also label it reckless endangerment of the players by deliberately placing an obstacle too close to the line. Will be a laugh if they’re made to shift them back before kick off. Presume there’s a limit on how close you can place the boards to the pitch.

I was at a St Andrew’s hospice charity run at Strathclyde Park where Tam Cowan was MC and Frank McAvenie the starter. Cowan remarked that they had an air horn rather than a starter’s pistol as Frank was an expert in handling hooters and because they feared the school pupils from Airdrie would return fire.

Aye, the single file traffic is moving very slowly. Right hand lane shut off for miles, but no sign of works actually having been underway.
