Agree he comes across like an alright guy, and I couldn't give a fuck if he was at St. Mirren, but he said himself early doors after his appointment that his job was to keep us in the division. If he doesn't do that then he's failed and shouldn't expect to get kept on. For what it's worth, I don't really care if he stays or goes, but if I was in charge that's what I'd be basing my decision on. The majority of the blame for me though still lies with 'Hoppy' and that MacKinnon guy. Pleading poverty yet building a squad almost two times too big in normal times, never mind for a 27-game campaign, and then leaving in a cream puff when told to address the issue.

The appointment of Gus MacPherson has been an unmitigated disaster. Two wins out of twelve and one of those was a get-out-of-jail cup win in extra-time, against a team in the league below us. We obviously shat it when Ayr beat us at Cappielow and emptied McElhone, but that decision now looks to have cost us. The last act of self-sabotage of the Rae era, but MCT don’t get a pass on this one.
