  1. Can you just decide to rejoin the board? Samson seems to say a lot about marketing and comms but they were just as poor when he was on the board so it's a strange one. Whole thing looks like it's falling apart.
  2. Agreed on this. They have someone on the board, naming rights on the stadium, a part of the stand named after a relative and their name on our strips so it's not like they aren't getting anything from the deal either. I appreciate they are paying a lot more than we've had in the past but it doesn't mean they should get to dictate how the club is run (or MCT who they don't have a direct relationship with but are the majority shareholder).
  3. It's all too Animal Farm on the GMFC board now.
  4. The way I'm seeing it now is the guy who started MCT and made it a success in the first place has recovered from a very serious illness and is seeing people representing it on the club board taking advantage and a free meal and has been a bit gung ho in trying to sort. Yes, MCT have been poor in comms but there is a huge onus on the club and our representatives to perform and they haven't.
  5. Has anyone got the constitutions for both sides? If a majority of MCT board members vote to remove their reps on the club board then they should probably just accept it and discussions would be with Dalrada.
  6. I'd have hope there would have been something a bit less confrontational. That said, the statement does say they were asked to step down (rather than told they were leaving) so it could have been a case of them saying we're not getting answers and we're now aware of a couple of things we should have know and discussions about whether they should still be on the board. I'd have hoped it was approached sensitively but not sure that was the case given the first post here. Although, the lack of updates from MCT might have been try to let them leave without all this going on. All just guesswork though and probably contradicting myself just thinking about it!
  7. And what is the main shareholder and fans group don't trust them?
  8. Nah, don't really agree with it but think that would be the reason. And, probably importantly, if we're aware of these relationships then MCT should have been and maybe took another approach to avoid the risk of losing the money.
  9. I think Sam Robinson brought in the investment. The initial post here, if correct, says they want him as their rep since Ross Gourdie doesn't spend time in Scotland. I don't think they should have two reps but it does make sense they'd be annoyed about that. Laird, I'm guessing, they just like as the chairman and have a good working relationship with him. Barr I'm not so sure about - assume it's just that he's caught up in it all.
  10. I can kind of see the MCT point - if they aren't getting satisfactory answers from the club board members then something has to be done. Assuming they've maybe been asking about Millen, etc too and the lack of transparency from the club on top of the transfer ban. Barr and Robinson could have stood down and avoided this so would be interesting to hear their side of the story. I'd be very surprised if Dalrada would have left if they stood down but can see why they might not like people being forced out. Do they think they are representing MCT well, was there something stopping them working with the MCT board, etc?
  11. MCT representative on the board that was part of a group that didn't update MCT about something they should have. Can kind of see the point of the mail but there's better ways to handle that - either a member vote or earlier comms to say. Assuming the Dalrada guy is close to Robinson since he said he brought them in and was a risk there but MCT had to go with both. It is a bit concerning though that the board majority shareholder, rightly or wrongly, doesn't seem to have any influence at all.
  12. Not sure all of this can be true. If the 3 named from the GMFC board have been dismissed had Gourdie on their side then they'd be the majority of board members so wouldn't have thought there was a mechanism for them to be removed by a minority. We definitely need some sort of statement from the club and MCT though and as soon as possible. There's always rumours going about at this time of season with every club but there's too many now and reasons to believe some. A fan run club can't survive if people start to lose faith.
  13. That's the first time I've ever missed kick off and ended up missing two goals. I agree that you can't turn up a few minutes before but I don't think that was the case last night.
  14. There was also roadworks heading through Belville Street so with that holding people up and free tickets then there should have been more gates open. Agree on most of the other points - in general they are fine but not every game is the same.
  15. Aye, I'd probably bet on that too tbf.
  16. Obviously we don't know if Imrie is staying or not but there's also a chance he might want to try another assistant and this was the time to do it. He wasn't Imrie's own guy and, although they seem to work well together, it wouldn't be the first time a manager changed assistants. The other possibility is Imrie is gone and they didn't want to have an assistant landed on someone who didn't want them. There's also the disciplinary thing he had earlier in the season....
  17. Is he really going rouge though? Surely his job is to do what the board tell him? There's a real lack of transparency which is worrying when we are a fan owned club and have representatives of that group on the board who are silent. https://mortonclubtogether.co.uk/morton-club-together-news hasn't had a meaningful update for ages and doesn't seem to have any accountability, or hold the club to account for that matter.
  18. Aye, it's like that every week. Isn't interested at all. Had a couple of goals and assists to be fair to him but he doesn't look particularly great on the ball either to justify the lack of work.
  19. Don't think he got above walking pace all night. No idea why he started every week.
  20. Happens at the end of every season.
  21. Should still be able to agree contracts anyway so hopefully hear about some signings or renewals soon.
  22. Does it really make a huge difference if they became aware then and got assurance it wouldn't have an impact on next season or renewing contracts? What would be the point in releasing a statement then if it was in hand? There's an argument that if it impacted an emergency loan signing then a bit more transparency would have been good at that point but don't think there's some big conspiracy going on for weeks, especially when it's getting to the end of the season and we had a fully fit squad with the window closed.
  23. Harsh to drop Mullen after the season he's had while Boyes has made mistakes and Shaw doesn't work hard enough for games like this. Got to assume Blues has a knock too. Not sure it would have mattered much - we've been poor all over.
  24. Not the first time the Partick fans have done the same so the weather argument doesn't really hold up for them here when they were trying to goad out fans as soon as they got in. That said, I think that area of the Cowshed should be offered out along with the main stand section when a bigger away support is expected unless there's a good reason for it being like that. It lies empty and would surely be a better option to sell two types of tickets and keep numbers limited than just having an away end ticket. Might cost a bit more but would imagine it would add a bit more in ticket sales so would likely even itself out. As away fans, we should expect to be treated well so need to think of a better solution for visitors here. I do enjoy seeing the likes of Partick fans stuck outside but that really shouldn't come into the clubs thinking.
  25. Would probably agree but Gaston was a great keeper for us and was part time a lot of his career so it's a difficult call. Mullen is more of a modern keeper as well that will take the ball into feet, etc but would probably pick him out the two as well.
