  1. It's decent signings they've made but no more than that. Hopefully they go down
  2. Was just about to post the same thing. Seems a similar personality to Johanssen too.
  3. He's been rotten in a few games too.
  4. BTW I'm not suggesting we should have kept him, just that he had his qualities and isn't a terrible player. He'll get a few more years as a full time player before dropping down the leagues.
  5. Nah I don't agree. He had energy to get up and down the park both with and without the ball and doing that meant the opposite full back didn't get a chance to push as high as they might. He isn't a great player but a decent mid table championship one.
  6. My point was really that he is better than average in some parts and below in others. The full backs now are probably jusy average at everything if we're being honest. It's down to a manager how they structure their team and what they prefer so writing off Doyle completely at this level is wrong.
  7. He's a decent, but limited, player at this level. If players didn't have limitations then they would be at a higher level. Doyle's limitations going forward were offset by his definesive ability and workrate whereas others in the same position are more even in what they offer.
  8. Does Rebecchi not own the worst pub in the town (Burns Lounge)?
  9. Won the league with Wigan. Could be a decent appointment.
  10. Jamie McDonagh played for Northern Ireland under 21s in a win against Spain u21s tonight.
  11. Even at that they weren't down to his ability, they were because he was a bit of a dafty.
  12. I don't think he was either. Duffy takes a lot of the blame because he wanted him to do everything down the right and whoever played in front of him tucked in. No player at our level is capable of doing that in a 442.
  13. He'd be capable of dealing with that. As part of a back 4 he's good at defending and his running did get us up the park and take pressure off. His biggest failing was distribution but that doesn't make him a poor defender as part of a back 4.
  14. He wasn't. He was part of a decent defence and was by far the fittest in the team. Going forward he was poor but you can't have everything at this level and I guess Ray is looking for some more balance.
  15. Shouldn't be made welcome at Cappielow if he ever shows his face. Nor should his apologist.
  16. Saying he wanted to leave when he spend much of the season as captain leaves a bit of a bad taste for me. As did telling the press he was leaving before Duffy and being dropped on the last game because of it.
  17. I might have missed it but he comes across as a guy who loves football and knows he's made a lot of bad decisions that he doesn't blame anyone else but himself for.
  18. I thought he came across quite well in the simon ferry thing. Never really listened to him before but seems a normal guy.
  19. Aye, someone was working on it to open it again a year or two ago but seem to have given up.
