  1. Also scored a cracker against Partick in the 3-0 game at Firhill to keep us up that year incidentally
  2. Just seen the email from the club that the Matchwinner shirts are delayed again Nothing to do with the club, just Matchwinner running into issues: Statement below: --- As a supplier we are ultimately disappointed at the delay on delivering in the first drop of Greenock Morton shirts. We quote 6 weeks from the date of purchase, and we haven't been able to deliver to our usual standard this time around due to a number of reasons. The first reason being the complexity of the design on the tartan shirt, and having to do multiple sample runs to make sure we get the remakes as close as possible to the originals. Secondly, and the most disappointing reason, is that our factory has had a delay on receiving the fabric for the retro collar, which has delayed the completion of the shirts. We are working hard with the factory to get these shirts to customers as quickly as we possibly can. We can only apologise to the Greenock Morton fans for the delay on delivering the shirts in. We must add that these issues are solely on us as a supplier and is in no way any fault of the club. - Gareth Moore, Managing Director
  3. That is nice! Have they sorted out the shade of blue or have the promos made it look lighter than it actually is?
  4. Surprised Grimshaw won't be playing across the street for Dundee in the Premiership, I'd have stuck money on him going there! DU must be throwing silly money about if he's picked playing in the Championship again over the Premiership (if he even had any offers I suppose) and England. It'll make watching them struggle even more entertaining.
  5. Turner is a big loss, although he was always likely to leave if they didn't go up anyway, regardless of financial woes.
  6. Aye that’s what’s really winding me up, it’s like they’re doing us a favour by moving back into Hampen lol! Deluded as fuck!
  7. With St Mirren my dislike of them is simply down to them being our rivals, they don’t really do anything to piss me off. Partick don’t really piss me off, I usually just roll my eyes at their antics, anyway they are going down the tubes so are more than likely to provide a laugh next season than anything. As for Falkirk they’re not really relevant anymore they’re where they should be. However, taking over 2 seasons to build a tiny useless stadium (even with the pandemic) which when finally ready they then turn around and wangle a deal to move back into a 52k stadium they sold after getting lottery and government money to redevelop is beyond a joke! Then their fans have the cheek to basically say to the rest of us “everyone else has stadiums they can’t fill every week so it’s fine, nothing to see here”. They’ve pulled a fast one and if they get an old firm draw in either or both cups it’s got the potential to open a can of worms for the SFA if they’ve not been clever with this deal.
  8. Just been reading this on their P&B thread. Unbelievable lack of self awareness as to why the rest of us fans are clearly pissed off about this. This is clearly what they've been building towards the entire time. Who goes full time expressing a desire to play at the top league and builds a tiny 2K capacity stadium unsuitable from the word go?! QP are quickly becoming my least liked non OF team.
  9. I was so busy yesterday I completely forgot about the game! Waking up to this news is absolutely glorious! Will be interesting to see what effect this has on them for next season and how it affects who stays and who leaves their squad.
  10. I've just trawled through more emails and found one stating they'll take the money off the card when the shirt is ready, so 1st June must just have been an approximated date. Guess it's just a waiting game to see who gets theirs first
  11. Has anyone who didn't use paypal had any update on their order? No payment has come off my credit card despite my order stated today was the due date
  12. Need to have a closer look but considering chat was about a bespoke kit this is very meh and a bit disappointing. Is the shade of blue not still wrong as well? Could just be the lighting but it looks like the lighter blue used in this years kit rather than the darker blue from our Scottish Cup anniversary top
  13. Even if nothings announced until next week they'd still be ahead of most other clubs. Only Dundee, Arbroath and Ayr have released new kits so far so it's not like the club are dragging their heels (yet).
  14. It could also be dependant on Joma too. I regularly look at footyheadlines.com and most of the kits that are being released/leaked are so far only the big brands, Adidas, Nike etc. Not seen any Joma kits released so far. On the Matchwinner tops, I was checking my order status the other day and noticed they're now all sold out which is good.
  15. Hate to say it but Partick look favourites going into the final on current form regardless of who they’re up against
  16. Yep, great from the club once again. I can't get a season ticket but when I do have a free Saturday afternoon, knowing I've got the app on my phone to buy a match ticket without having to queue on Sinclair Street is magic!
  17. I've just pre-ordered the tartan top and there's a charge for 82p then a refund for 82p lol so looks like they've tried to fix it.
  18. Jesus wept! When are these clubs ever going to learn?! After all that is promotion even going to come close to balancing the books?!
  19. To be fair how many of those seasons were down to them being financially doped out of their eyeballs? They've also had 2 administrations since we had our own. From going down to the 4th tier and back up they had the good fortunes of being (finally) run competently and had a good coach that seems to have masterminded the whole rise and has stuck with them. In all that time we had the Raes whose plans were let McInally have as much time as he wants in the job, spunk as much money as possible on 3rd tier players and "bring a friend". It really grates on me just where we could be if Douglas Rae had just let someone who knew how to run a football club take the reigns.
  20. what fucking mental time to sack your manager! Especially after a positive performance against Rangers. That is absolutely delicious.
  21. Even more glad I’ve never given those knob-ends a moments listen. Hope the club/Dougie get wind of it and contact the lawyers
  22. What? He was out of contract and nobody picked him due to us being due compensation. Whoever told you that is talking nonsense
  23. Jesus wept translation is basically: They are fucked aren’t they?
  24. I truly hope there’s no truth in the Griffiths rumours. The obvious unsavoury aspects of his character aside, I just don’t think he’s the kind of player that will react well to Imrie’s style of man management. Griffiths best spell was under Brendan Rodgers who obviously knew how to handle him, then he went downhill fast as soon as Neil Lennon came on the scene who has a very different approach to the likes of Rodgers when dealing with individuals From what we’ve seen of Imrie and how he calls out players for their mistakes or attitudes I don’t think that’s something Griffiths responds well to
  25. I’ve obviously not looked into commercial prices but I’ve seen plenty of horror stories on social media about people claiming their domestic prices going up from double figures into horrendous treble figures, some well over 300% so I can believe the club aren’t taking the Mickey when they claim this. The energy provider will also be a factor as many of the big ones have also taken the piss when putting up direct debits/payments etc in order to “meet the demands” of the customer’s bill so that could also be a factor.
