  1. Another one for the Ignore pile.
  2. Sorry to see him go as he did make a positive contribution while here, unlike some. Best of luck to him for the future.
  3. Their manager who did a decent job jumped ship for a basket case, much like a snake we once knew.
  4. Ledger can go with his head held high and with all good wishes. He worked hard to improve his defensive game when we needed it most.
  5. I'm sure that if the club had been able to find a cost effective way of doing this they would have. Sadly there probably isn't enough ex pats to make it worthwhile and the club has to take a business view of viability.
  6. It's a difficult one for the club with inflation running at 7% and likely to go up towards 10% by the year end. Everybody will face that issue but we need to improve our ST numbers and for that we need to see some players who can raise the hopes of the fans and get them excited about the new campaign. Being served a diet of what we've seen for the past 2 seasons is hardly likely to give anyone a semi. The concessions, kids prices and under 12s seem to be pretty fair but the price for MCT membership is just as likely to lose money as gain it. Mixed bag overall.
  7. Well done to him. Hopefully he benefits from the step up to a bigger club albeit in the same div.
  8. Early days but I can't claim to be confident about that announcement. Asking 3 or 4 players to provide the goals, creativity, pace and defensive solidity that we desperately need is going to require a huge slice of good fortune.
  9. Total irrelevance in a totally irrelevant collection of no marks gets his just deserts.
  10. I agree with much of that and I'll certainly be upping my DD. It is unfortunate though that this is against a backdrop of high inflation and increased bills for everyone. which will make this a tough if not impossible ask for many.
  11. Are you suggesting that the club should have told the manager who to play?
  12. I'd be quite happy to see Exeter take the title as they're a decent club who've had their fair share of problems over the years. Forest Green have had a great season and like many clubs they appear to have taken their foot off the gas when they achieved promotion. Somehow I doubt their fans will be too distressed however it ends up.
  13. Another well deserved season by the beach beckons for the heroic battlers of Falkirk. Achieving 6th is a remarkable feat and reflects well on the club that are surely on the road to utter irrelevance. Special mention to Messrs Telfer, McGuffie and everyone's favourite sandancer Nesbitt, your contribution is noted and valued. All hail Kenny Miller.
  14. Unlike VT I don't really want to see the liquidators paying them a visit. I'd settle on them becoming the biggest side in the Lowland league.
  15. Congrats to Nicky Cadden for getting promotion with Forest Green.
  16. Kenny Miller makes his mark with a 1-2 loss to Alloa. He must surely be a contender for the hot seat
  17. I'm not really surprised that a wider consultation did not take place given the ridiculous timescale of the decision being required. As for voting against it I couldn't really care much less.
  18. The reaction of some to this does appear to be a bit over the top. We have all complained about opportunities for income generation being spurned in the past and now when a small amount is generated from hiring a room, that's not acceptable. I have zero time for chancers like McEleny or Salmond but to suggest that this will lead to a political rebirth of a insignificant unsuccessful political party in stretching it too far.
  19. Irrespective of personal feelings there seems to be an inevitability about the adoption of VAR for the top league and it's probably only a matter of time before UEFA mandates it. However to further impoverish lower leagues in order to subsidise it seems very unfair. The quality of refereeing in Scotland appears to be getting worse and I see nothing from the SFA about how they intend to improve it or even recognise it as an issue. Perhaps the top league should be contributing something to improving professionalism amongst the woeful referees and gutless assistants we see on a regular basis.
  20. Disappointing news. They both seemed so perfect for each other.
  21. I'm amazed that that tosser has the brass neck to talk about others emotional responses when you look at his record of foot stamping tantrums. What a twat.
  22. Falkirks heroic attempt of a top 4 finish comes to an end (again) Much mirth and joy in Scottish football. Operation Stay Doon totally successful.
  23. It's still early days but I sense that people have thought about some of the earlier failures and tried hard to avoid repetition. Hopefully seeing that fans are reacting positively to what they are seeing will encourage more confidence to start addressing some of the fundamental issues. Great to see Dougie and Neil sign up and although you'll never please everybody I'm very pleased with the current direction of travel.
  24. Tragic, simply tragic. When will this injustice come to an end.
