  1. Strange that we’ve appointed someone with no real background in the area. I like Gerry, but someone with actual PR experience might’ve made a bit more sense? Good luck to him anyway.
  2. That’s something I think quite a lot of people are going to have to get over, or have misunderstood with the fan ownership model. We have no greater influence on signings than we did before, and it should remain that way. As the above says, the person responsible for it can’t be undermined in any way. Even though we ourselves are putting money in, we’re surrendering any real control over it when we do.
  3. That’s excellent news, good work from all involved. Now, wire it all to Gavin Gunning.
  4. Rodgers barely tested after that goal.
  5. He has got to be doing better there. Deer in the headlights here.
  6. Moved on to bigger and better things.
  7. Simmer. Our 6(?) contracted players and usual band of Dutch trialists would cause them both problems.
  8. We’d give either of these diddies a game at the minute imo.
  9. Falkirk fans haven’t exactly been raving about him. Same old story of fine going forward, much less so when he has to defend.
  10. It isn’t. We need to strike while the iron’s hot and get as much media coverage as possible to get members signed up early doors.
  11. Bullet dodged if so. I know recruitment is going to be trickier than normal, but he’s utterly bang average.
  12. I’m pretty sure the Lee Kilday song was still sung (ironically right enough)
  13. If we could get to and maintain over a 1000 for launch that’d be a great position to start off with. Hopefully a realistic possibility.
  14. Alex Samuel starts at Wembley in the playoff final. Who’s the last ex-Morton player involved in one of these?
  15. This upcoming season will certainly be one where we’re just looking to stay in the division. The budget means under normal circumstances we probably wouldn’t be far off anyway. It’ll naturally take a while for MCT to get settled next year, but we can’t really afford to write that season off as well (serious apathy is likely to set in - even early on)
  16. Screaming into the abyss here I know, but our Twitter still hasn’t mentioned the most significant development at the club since 2000. I don’t care who’s running it, that’s just incompetency at this point.
  17. I thought the deal was always GC paid very little for it and we just used them as a sponsor because they “kept the lights on”
  18. What would we expect memberships to settle around then? I would like to think we could double what we currently have, though that’d be pretty ambitious.
  19. Oh I’m sure a few people will find reasons to boycott it don’t worry. Only other thing on my mind at the minute is. If we ever moved stadium, a large part of that would be funded by the sale of Cappielow’s land. Would we see none of that under the current situation?
  20. Folk on that Fans Facebook group will now have a say in how we’re run. We’re doomed.
  21. I am sceptical at the idea of fan ownership at a club of our size in general, not MCT themselves.
  22. I am, sceptical, to put it lightly but I’m 100% willing to get behind it. Interesting times. Wonder who the 3rd party was?
  23. Me seeing I can upload as many reaction pictures as I like.
  24. Much better player for us than many expected, a pretty good overall career for the guy as well. All the best to him.
