  1. At the end of the day if there's no money there's no money but the club MCT should be saying something and not leaving Imrie to answer questions about it when he's clearly annoyed.
  2. One or two injuries or suspensions needs to be accounted for too.
  3. Mark Kelly seems to be pretty busy plus the media guy obviously does quite a bit. There was a new guy hired in May (Ross something) for marketing and comms but not heard a thing from him and things seem to have went a bit backwards over the summer with some of the mails, etc coming out. Edit to add - it was February. Not sure we're getting value for money or what he's done. https://www.gmfc.net/ross-dunbar-joins-as-head-of-commercial/
  4. That's exactly what it was. Every manager would love to sign a load of players and have a big squad but we can't afford just to hand out contracts to guys who probably won't play.
  5. There's been similar nights in the lighthouse, Inverkip hub, etc too. Feels like they tried to copy an idea that had run it's course.
  6. Quite liked Broadfoot talking about 'Open Goal'. Maybe a bit harsh on the players who are part time and enjoying a drink at the weekend but he's obviously still focused on his own standards.
  7. Had to go up two sizes with that. Home top just up one.
  8. Strip looks decent in Smiths - good selection of stuff in there too now. Ended up £100 lighter with the most expensive towel I've ever bought.
  9. Cheap, covers two positions and is probably looking to get involved in coaching. Obviously a bit older than Ambrose but been playing regularly for the last few seasons. Not an exciting signing but not one I'd be overly worried about either.
  10. Tbf I bought one at 2 in the morning after a night out. Wouldn't have managed that last year
  11. Not sure it's all thanks to Fanbase but good numbers.
  12. Hibs have got a green strip with white sleeves and got a bespoke Joma kit. There's always possibilities there.
  13. Promised a bespoke kit, got one as basic as it gets and we're coming up for 150 years since the club were formed. Probably had worse tops but fairly disappointing.
  14. Not a fan. Pretty standard and looks like an off the shelf one. Was hoping for more when it was supposed to bespoke. Split in the hoops looks a bit daft too.
  15. Tbf if he wanted a lot of money and wasn't a cheapish option for cover I'd look elsewhere. Lamie would be a terrific signing but can't see it.
  16. I'd take him. Done well at a team who were above us most of the season and cover at right back too. Will take a lot for anyone to break up the Baird and O'Connor partnership anyway so over is fine. If we signed everyone suggested as a player/ coach over the years we'd have more coaches than players. Just need to let old guys retire and move on in peace.
  17. Holiday season might have been a better description there - loads of people go around now to avoid the price increase from school holidays. Anyway, main point is we will hopefully get them out pretty sharpish and if not try to get a bit of excitement about a launch since its presumably a big income stream.
  18. Joking aside, I don't know why clubs don't have kits launched around now ahead of summer holidays, etc and especially on the back of a good season. Even a soft launch with teasers, etc to get a bit of publicity would help. Hopefully we're going for a big bang of season tickets, strip launch and a good signing in the next week or so.
  19. As much as I'd love that to be a positive sign, I don't think he could really say much else
  20. I'd say good enough to free up budget elsewhere. Time will tell...
  21. Liking a bit of positivity I think Waters fits the system and is what we need. He's a solid 7 every week. Strapp has potential to be so much more but we need a strong and stable team. Obviously you could argue it's the managers job to get the best of players but we need to be realistic. Teams that win this league are just consistent and that's what Waters gives us.
  22. Aye, Tumilty is good going forward and decent enough defending so wouldn't be against him. O'Ware is an interesting one. Always thought he was really good if there was someone next to him talking him through the game but maybe with experience he's a bit better in that respect. Would take Baird and O'Connor over him but wouldn't be against him as a squad player. Maybe Broadfoot might be considered again to give a bit of experience and cover at CB and RB (wouldn't be my choice but he was OK in this league the last couple of years and would be within our budget so assume he'd be on the radar).
  23. Don't think Strapp was the captain, McGregor probably isn't good enough and more than one manager hasn't fancied Lyon in the team which suggests he's not doing what's asked of him. McGratten is a strange one but I think it's safe to say that's in isolation as Strapp mostly got a game when fit.
  24. Who on the board has any sort of experience or right to discuss the players we have?
