That's beyond amateur. Tomorrow there is a cattle/farmer show thing in Stranraer (basically the whole town goes and gets hammered). Stranraer FC have indicated on social media that they will have a tent/marquee selling merchandise plus a chance to sign up to sponsor players etc. And we can't even sell stuff at Cappielow on our own open day.

Could it have been a factor that Strapp has had injury spells recently? Not suggesting it's a valid reason to offer reduced terms, but could it have been part of the thinking process? Edit - scrap this idea. You offer a player reduced terms, you know what they’re going to do.

Hearing that there was a fair amount of anger flying around the EK changing room at FT yesterday. I would, for more than one reason, prefer Stranraer stay up. I'm hearing that a couple of clubs in the senior tiers (Edinburgh City presumably being one) have similar standards to that which kept Buckie Thistle out of the play-offs and, despite having had two years to sort it out, haven't.

Hearing that former Morton goalkeeper Denis Connaghan has passed away. He was part of the team that got us promotion to the Premier League in 1978 and the first Ton keeper that I can recall watching. He had played for Celtic in the early 70s and was at St Mirren before that. He was present at the Stars of 79 evening and was on the board at Neilston FC.
