  1. Oh aye? Let's see what your contribution to the Ayr United thread as: http://themortonforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=43622&page=1 Nothing constructive, just gloating and sniping, and inevitably you making an arse of yourself. Lets face it, you don't support Morton. Only once you can admit to it being a problem for you then you begin to move on...
  2. You were gloating when Ayr United beat us last week.
  3. The club nor its directors (whom I am on friendly terms with ) are under no obligation to keep me informed on matters of a confidential nature, such as the recompense over loss of several key employees who under contract. It will all come out in good time. For what it's worth, I didn't think Ray McKinnon was ever going to be with us for the long term, however it was the manner in which he left which left a bitter taste with most people, but then again he was offered a job at a bigger club who were closer to home and were offering more money and possibly better personal terms.
  4. You are not on the side of the truth. You are on the side of cheap point scoring over anything related to Morton. Hence why you come on here gloating when we get beat and you rubbed your hands with glee when you heard that McKinnon fucked off to Falkirk. Let's face it, you don't support Morton anymore. Probably never did either. You hate us and the feeling is mutual.
  5. ...because he's considerably more informed than you on matters relating to Morton. Next.
  6. Let me guess - you are on the side of the Falkirk woman, as you have been told so.
  7. Watching Bordeaux vs. FC Nantes* on BT Sport just now, I'm surprised by just how empty the stadium seems to be. It's a near 40,000 capacity stadium and it looks only around a third full. Obviously I don't know as much about French Football as a statto like Trvmp, but I would have thought a game like that would have been a big clash between two middling clubs in a country where they've just won the World Cup. Obviously not. Edit: *it's Bordeaux's home game.
  8. And in other news - It has to be noted that Aston Villa are now without a Jobber Manager as their latest Jobber - Steve Bruce - has left that position. This would be an ideal position for a rent-a-jobber manager like Paul Lambert or Alex McLeish.... Oh wait.
  9. If Brian Wake got a mere sniff of an international call-up he would have went running to whoever was daft enough to have considered him worthy of such an accolade.
  10. A generation of international players who won the Kirin Cup. Scotland's only international trophy to date. I would also reckon Don Hutchinson would be a more worthwhile addition to a Scottish Football Hall of Fame as he scored winning goals for Scotland against Germany and against England in the last ever international game at the old Wembley. However, Your beloved Brian Wake would never get into any Hall of Fame of note, as he spent his entire career playing with gubbins outfits achieving nothing of note, and not earning a single international cap for even a gubbins country. Gutted for you, buckled mess etc. Thanks for playing Champ.
  11. McFadden was possibly the most prolific goalscorer of his generation at International level, with 15 goals from 48 caps, and also scored important winning goals for Scotland against Netherlands in the Euro2004 play-offs and in the Euro2008 qualifying group against France, which although we never qualified for either tournament in the end, gave us a very good chance at the time. If Craig Levien never had a vendetta against him, he would have got his two extra caps and would have been in the "Hall of Fame" by default.
  12. I think that the whole Scottish Football "Hall of Fame" thing is Scrambling for relevance now, and is more about selling seats at these corporate tables than it is awarding and recognition someone of who has made a contribution to the game in Scotland. Gazza will surely be a big draw for those who attend such events, who tend to be 'Ludge' members and 'Boays across thu watter' types, who aren't far removed from the same kind of twats who attend Morton's bronze hospitality and swallow the 'Muck Hoist' rumours hook, line and sinker. Looking at the list of previous inductees, there is no Andy Roxburgh, James McFadden, Andrew Watson, Charles William Miller, Alexander Watson Hutton, Darren Fletcher, Kenny Miller, Arthur McPherson - all Scots who played important roles in either Scottish or World Football - and all more deserving of the accolade than Paul Gascoigne.
  13. Tonight's results make me wonder if there is a changing of the guard as Scotland's 'Point and Laugh' flag bearers in European competitions. Granted the games were of little importance against the plankton of European football in a tournament of nil stature, but nontheless it is a seismic event in the world of Scottish football, which has all of Europe's attention bar none.
  14. Celtic getting pumped at the moment by a bunch of cheapskate no-mark Cellar Dwellers. Shame for them. Let's see if Scotland's other deviants can fare any better against another bunch of cheapskate no-mark Cellar Dwellers.
  15. Just flicking between the matches, the Bayern vs Ajax game looks pretty entertaining whereas the Man United match is boring as hell.
  16. Whats happening with all the strange kick-off times in the Champions League. I thought it was always to be 7.45pm on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. No exceptions. Call me a traditionalist, but I'm not happy with it nowadays. No Rangers to laugh at, strange kick-off times, no Fergie, no Jim Delahunt, Hoffenheim, strange sponsors (Spiderman!?!). Bring back the good old days. This sucks.
  17. No. However I'm surprised that some Lochee taxi driver with his 'ah ken wee Jum' patter hasn't been linked with the role as they're rapidly running out of options.
  18. Wee Livingston are currently beating the Harry Dunn's 1-0. How long before they are told to lie down for their big team?
  19. I would love a Hibs v. Rangers final, only for the Hibs to get a last minute winner. That would be a great advert for Scottish football again.
  20. Ahem, I posted this earlier without looking at this weekends scores, being second top with only one point behind the league leaders Cologne after six games - that was my basis of saying that SV Hamburg had got off to a decent start. With regards to Jahn Regensburg, without knowing too much about them and going purely on facts, because I know you like that kind of thing, describing them as a 'pub team' is perhaps a bit unkind to them - they come from a city in Bavaria which is comparable in size to Blackburn or Preston, and their average attendances are similar to the football teams from these locations. With the exception of last season when they finished 5th in 2. Bundesliga, their recent history seems to have been 'dicey' however it looks like they got a well deserved result at the weekend, and GIFRUY to Hamburg. Edit to add:
