  1. Aye, at this rate we would have been just as well signing the mystery foreign striker and waiting the 2 months for the work permit.
  2. We were rumoured to be interested in Max Johnston on loan from Motherwell before he went to Cove so signing a right back doesn't come as a surprise, Dougie clearly wanted one. Decent calibre of signing. Happy with that. Hynes next out you would think if we can find a taker. Would be much happier if we can find a forward though.
  3. It's prohibited for a loan player to play against the parent club under SPFL rules.
  4. Take some turnaround for it to be anything other than done come May.
  5. Not really. Big difference releasing players who aren't getting a sniff from one that is very much in their plans. James Craigen incoming then...
  6. Our chances of signing him are as broken as that link you tried to post. Not sure what you tried to share, but if it was Arbroath signing Tait then still no. 3hrs ago, maybe, not now.
  7. Unfortunately, half the division is provably looking for that today with not many names being bandied about. Ayr took a striker on loan from Villa, Arbroath rumoured to be taking 2 from down south as well. If we are restricting our options to Scotland to save having to pay digs, then the pool is very limited (although that comment seems very strange seeing as he was chasing an overseas striker just last week).
  8. Joined some Slovenian mob going by Twitter.
  9. One of the things i have been most encourage by, is the language used today. There has been no 'this will help us get through a difficult period/current climate' sort of talk. One director said it will put us on a 'solid foundation' while another labelled it 'transformative'. They aren't likely to be divulging the numbers, but they certainly seem confident with it.
  10. You already said earlier that you interpreted it as 'handing over the running of the club' whicb seems a wild take from the announcement. Most people have taken it as consultancy, tapping into expertise and tapping into business resource, with the existing operation remaining unchanged. Not even close to handing over the reins. And as for the Easdales comment - they already got their man on the board.
  11. Love a wee bit of digging. The Bill Bonar guy was the owner of DepTec which was acquired by Darada (US) in April. DepTec had the same listed address as the dormant Darada Technologies company. He is also listed as a director of Likido energy, also owned by Darada (US). The millionaire CEO of Darada (US) Brian Bonar, originally from Greenock. Someone on LinkedIn saying that section A of the main stand is to be renamed after Bill's grandfather.
  12. I know the club have been commercially shit for a long time, but I doubt they would be calling it our record sponsorship deal for 50p.
