  1. Get Tony Andreu signed up he was a class player who Imrie would know as well.
  2. Another option up top and someone who has good experience at this level. His record doesn't exactly jump out at you but Imrie has got it right with pretty much every signing so I'm confident we can get him firing. We have got rid of most of the dead wood around the club and now are actually signing players who give us options and experience. One more in midfield and I would assume that might be us done.
  3. Interesting interview it's good to hear we clearly have other targets and hopefully get one or two in the next week. Also I noticed he said if players don't work hard they will be out the door I wonder who he is referring to or just in general. I really like the fact imrie is brutal with the squad and won't accept passengers like so many other duds we have had in previous years.
  4. Such an odd player to be linked with. I would imagine he would be on a hefty wage and he hasn't exactly been doing much for the past few years. He was shit hot for Dundee utd but how many years ago was that. Wouldn't imagine he would be in the work hard every game and give 100% category but clearly someone who has talent. If anyone else in the championship signed him though I wouldn't want to come up against him.
  5. Have no idea what he is like think I have seen him once against us when he played for QOS and I don't really remember him. Happy to always give him a chance and if there is anyone that can get him playing I have faith in Imrie but I am rather underwhelmed by this I must admit. His record doesn't fill me with any confidence but I hope I am wrong.
  6. Be interesting to see who we manage to get in. Thinking back to the game on Saturday and the general depth of the squad if we are able to get 2 decent options who can help us out it really changes a lot. I think the obvious one would be another option up front, Muirhead has been brilliant this season and I can't speak highly enough how much he has improved in the past year or so but on Saturday he was non existent, it's asking a lot for him to play 90 mins every week and keep up the level of performances he has shown at the start of the season. I also think another centre mid would be a shout, I thought at the weekend we struggled to get close to them in midfield and could have done with someone with that bit of bite who can win us the ball back. Crawford runs into the ground every game and his work rate is exceptional I thought Blues and Gillespie struggled against their midfield. Miller has been signed you would think as a winger even if he could quite comfortably play left back also I think Kabia will go back to Livingston. Quitongo works hard can beat people and has great energy but his final ball and goalscoring record is pretty poor if he had an end product I think he could quite comfortable play at the top level. We really need options as I really don't think Imrie fancies much of what he has on the bench as he seems hesitant to make many changes even when we are playing poorly. I also have no idea why King is not playing a lot more I know he has made a good few appearances but I really would be tempted to maybe stick him in midfield for a run in the team to see what sort of impact he can have as I think IMO he could be the answer for us.
  7. Love us being ruthless and having a good clear out it's been long overdue no point keeping players who clearly don't fit or aren't good enough. Surprised at McGregor as he is still young and looked quite decent anytime I saw him but again was barely getting any game time thought a loan would be good idea but obviously Imrie knows what he is looking for. Does leave us quite light in terms of bodies but I would imagine we would have some incomings surely.
  8. I had honestly forgotten Hynes was still around seems the best option for everyone involved was never going to get any game time here and it frees up a wage. Wonder if Kabia will be sent back to Livingston next and maybe McGregor possibly sent out on loan for game time.
  9. Brilliant, Gillespie has been key this season and its clear to see how highly Imrie rates him very consistent rarely injured and a real leader. Also nice to see us doing business early another sign of how far we have came actually being proactive and not sitting around on our arse like previous managers seeing whatever was left at the last minute.
  10. Think Brandon would be a really good signing thought he was excellent last season and offered us a good bit going forward. Strange he has played so little for Livingston since signing. If Grimshaw does leave it would be a shame I felt he took a while to get going but he is very solid for this level and does his job well however I don't think he offers a lot going forward but our defence is settled and would he a shame to change it. I also have no idea what Pignatiello is like I've seen so little of him so it's hard to judge as I thought he would be the replacement if Grimshaw left.
  11. A bit out of the blue this signing I only hope that O'Connor hasn't got a long term injury as apart from a few shaky moments he has been really solid. Like other people are signing I presume lithgow is done as he hasn't featured at all this season. I think ambrose is a decent enough signing he has tons of experience and should help a relatively inexperienced defence. I'm not sure how much he has played over the last year or his fitness which is a slight concern but Grimshaw was the same and he has came good.
  12. Yeah our striking options are utterly rank and have been for months. Imrie obviously has been trying for a while but it's quite poor we still have no credible out and out forward. Time is running out and I genuinely have the fear we are going to be stuck with what we have until at least January. A striker is the difference between us genuinely being in the playoffs or scratching around at the bottom once again.
  13. Seems a solid enough signing he is a right back but could play defensive midfield if needed. Played almost 100 games for motherwell so clearly has a bit of quality happy with that. It shows we still have a budget left which is promising but please god let the next one be a striker.
  14. Yeah O'Connor has made a few mistakes and I think he may be the culprit imrie is talking about. I think he is a decent centre half he is strong and good in the air but he is prone to the odd mistake I think lithgow will probably be playing next week. The only issues Lithgow is painfully slow and feel we will be really exposed at the back with him there.
  15. Not surprised by Garrity as I think he needs more game time and clearly isn't going to get much here. The Lyons one surprises me I'm not his biggest fan but I think he is clearly better than league two so shocked he has dropped that far down. He clearly has an attitude problem and Imrie doesn't fancy him which is fine by me because I don't think he has really shown anything in the past year or so to justify him staying. It surely must mean singings incoming today I hope and please god one of them a striker.
  16. So what's the latest are the cameras at Cappielow have we seen anyone at the airport who has flown in to join us?
  17. Nicky low next week and a striker would be all we need to have a serious go at making the playoffs this season. Considering where we were about a month ago it's totally changed new contract for Dougie, new investment in the club and hopefully some more quality signings.
  18. Great move for the club and everyone involved. Hopefully this can help the club breathe financially for the next good while. Adding a bit to the stadium name as well is no big deal either a lot of clubs do this and it's pretty common when you have a serious investor behind you. Now Morton about that striker?
  19. Decent signing someone with good experience who has played in this league before and should fit in well. On the striker front I'm actually trying to think of who would be available that would be a realistic option for us.
  20. Best of luck to him he was nowhere good enough for a career in professional football and really no idea why he was kept as long as he was. I can only hope this now means we can get something in before the window closes heard absolutely nothing about new players while everyone else is adding to the squad.
  21. Scott Allan would walk this league but think he would be way out of our budget. No talk of anyone signing which is really worrying we need a striker or else we will struggle the rest of the team is okay but we can't rely on the odd goal from Quitongo, Muirhead etc and so far Kabia has really not impressed. Still early and I've not really been impressed with anyone else in the league I've seen but if we pass the transfer window without singing someone up top I have no idea where the goals are coming from.
  22. Dodged a bullet there had a horrible feeling he might have ended up at us. Austrian third tier and semi professional shows his level as well. Still desperately need a striker in hopefully we are still looking, a creative mid is also the second shout but it depends on budget etc.
  23. I would rather have Innes Cameron out of that bunch not exactly much of a list but rather give him a chance than anyone else. Griffiths imo would be too much of a massive gamble a lot of baggage and of course there is a player in there who scores goals but to many unknowns. However I actually wouldn't be surprised if we ended up signing Griffiths.
  24. David Vize on twitter spouting out pish that Leigh Griffiths could be heading to us. As much as he is a horrible wee rodent bastard who I wouldn't touch with a barge pole I think he could still bang in some goals as much as I hate to say it.
  25. Really not fussed about Jacobs going on loan. Was never impressed with him tbh he had one semi decent season but he is painfully slow and offers nothing going forward, clearly Dougie didn't fancy him aswell as we barely saw him at all last season. Least this will free up a wage to get a striker in hopefully that has to be the main priority.
