  1. Makes sense I can't see him really getting game time here with the options we have. Not really sure what will happen with King there is clearly talent there but I can't help feel that time is maybe running out I know that seems strange to say but for me I don't really know where he fits in or his best position. Don't know what Imrie would be looking for if we did bring someone in I can't see it personally think he will be looking to tie the long term future of players rather than looking for anyone else, starting 11 seems to be picking itself most weeks with still good depth.
  2. First half was really poor and we struggled to break them down. Second half much more like it and for me Garrity was MOTM brilliant when he came on not seen much of him but he was outstanding today. Clean sheet and three points was the main thing today they are a shower of dirty B'S so much for us being the dirty team. I know French is still holding back but there was one point in the second half where he got back like shit out of a shovel I haven't seen pace like that in a long time, lets hope we see more of it.
  3. Not the worst draw and not the best either. They are rank rotten at the moment you would think if we keep the form up we should be in with a shout, I imagine they might bring a semi decent support also.
  4. Magic! Makes sense he would stay till the end of the season but delighted with that he is an upgrade on Waters and we just look so much more solid with him in the team.
  5. Davies is an interesting signing, clearly someone who knows where the back of the net is albeit at a lower level, more than happy to go along with this and trust Dougie's judgement. It does make me slightly worried that the likes of Oakley maybe Muirhead might be away in the summer. Oakley has been outstanding this season and I can't see him not getting offers from say a lower half prem team, Muirhead I would say less so it's still an option but I think Oakley has a more all round game and turns up more often than Muirhead does even if his consistency has dramatically improved since Dougie has been here. In regards to French I don't mind him being here the rest of the season, he has improved recently but you can definitely tell he is still holding back because of that injury, on another note does anyone know if Harkness is actually still on loan to us? I know he had that really bad injury and went back to Rangers for treatment but I never heard anything official he was away.
  6. Great piece of business. Wilson has been excellent this season and delighted to get him signed up permanently. Looking at the others I hope we can keep this going as I didn't realise how many are only contracted until the end of the season, if we lose the like of Oakley, Muirhead or Crawford they would be very difficult to replace.
  7. Robbie Crawford must cover the most ground of any championship player, his work rate is phenomenal he was my player of the season last year and just keeps on performing. I really hope we keep hold of him. I have a feeling if certain players keep performing to the standard they have been it's only a matter of time before we lose a few key players hope it doesn't happen but I think it might be inevitable.
  8. Disappointed to not take all three points as they didn't really force Mullen into a save. I wasn't confident before it so I would take a point and another game unbeaten, the only thing I would say is maybe a bit more quality out wide I think Quitongo did well when he came on but wouldn't mind seeing more of Bearne or McGrattan, it's good to have options. Power again was outstanding my MOTM.
  9. Really looking forward to this, I never have a good feeling when we play Partick Thistle as our record recently hasn't been the best but with the form we are taking into this one it's hard to not fancy us. I wouldn't imagine the first 11 will be to different as there really isn't much which needs to change but you would imagine Muirhead comes straight back in possibly along with Baird? I think it's really hard on either Broadfoot or O'Connor to miss out but Baird & Broadfoot have been very solid recently, also with King now back it gives us even more options off the bench if needed. On a personal note my partner who has never really bothered about football before has been with me to quite a few Morton games and was starting to enjoy it sadly however, she has decided to sit with the rest of her family in the away end as her cousin now plays for Partick after signing this month, even more reason for us to pump them, not that I am bitter or anything....
  10. He has been excellent and a real turnaround from the start of the season and all credit to him, he also gives us something a bit different someone who isn't frightened to bring the ball out of defence rather than just launch it reminds me of Ambrose minus the back flips.
  11. Aye didn't think he was great for Hamilton and now he is playing for that mob long may it continue.
  12. Absolutely brilliant performance today. Another win and another hattrick. Since Oakley has been the club I must admit I hate to go overboard but he has probably been the best forward I have seen in years. The way he holds up the ball, the way he links up the play, the endless workrate and genuine goal threat he poses is superb he has taken his game to another level and on top of that seems an all round nice guy, couldn't be happier for him. Living up to big bad physical morton, what a shame for everyone else. Next weekend is massive let's maybe hope for 3000 attendance plus as I fancy they will bring a decent support.
  13. That's a right kick in the nuts. Should never let a two goal lead slip we have been excellent but that's disappointing.
  14. Baird a massive blow, nice to see Garrity in the line up just show Imrie clearly trusts him. Would take a point right now but a strong bench if we need to make changes.
  15. He never even signed a contract with us. He was a trialist for a few pre season games and did a decent enough job but then we never signed him up. Probably his level.
  16. Wouldn't be too fussed about French going back, definitely not the player I expected. If Strapp goes anywhere I would think it would be Killie he was training with the reserves and played some minutes with them seems a logical choice but let's hope he stats until the end of the season.
  17. Personally I think both King and Garrity should stay where they are it doesn't really makes sense to bring them back they need consistent game time if they are going to be good enough and they won't get that here. I can't see us keeping Strapp beyond January as much as I would love to but hopefully by then Waters will be back, French hasn't impressed me at all he looks like a rabbit in the headlights and clearly after the bad injury he is holding back. Haven't heard anything about Harkness is he still here? I don't expect much movement in January but wouldn't be opposed to another option upfront and if French goes back to Dundee a right back but other than that I would be happy to go as we are.
  18. Was not expecting that. If waters was fit we wouldn't be signing him but it's good to have him back for the short time solid player at left back and plenty of experience, the only slight thing I would question is signing someone who hasn't played for 6 months on a two month deal doesn't really add up.
  19. I would personally like to see Wilson signed up permanently. His loan deal is up in Jan I think? And his actual contract wihh QOS expires in May. He is versitile able to play a number of positions and has been one of if not the best players for us the past couple of weeks for me it's a no brainer, okay he took a while to get up to fitness but now we are seeing what he can do.
  20. I don't honestly remember much when he played for us, anytime I have seen him which is rarely he has looked okay. Happy enough to give someone like that a trial to see if he can prove himself he is still young and it would be another option for us.
  21. Good interview from the young lad let's see what he can do.
  22. Praise the lord a young defender who might actually have a bit of pace and a right back. Happy to trust Dougie's judgement on this one I presume he will be straight into the team tomorrow, wouldn't mind another one or two but more in hope than expectation.
  23. I see strapp is still without a club. Not really news but surprised he hasn't managed to find anyone else.
  24. Agree he needs game time but surprised it's at league two would say he is far better than that. If he starts in midfield every game then it's good experience for him but our squad is so thin at the moment it's a strange one for me I presume we have someone else coming in if he is going out.
