I was listening to the Scottish Football Marketing podcast a few weeks ago (one of the hosts is a Morton supporter), it struck me that Partick always put a lot of time and money into having a full-time media officer. A major part of his role was creating and maintaining relationships with the local and national press. I don't think it's entirely coincidental that they've maintained that cuddly image and their relationship with the press, it's clearly something they prioritise and have reaped the benefits.

A couple of my Rangers supporting mates are delighted with their start to the season but they're really concerned about the medium-long term financial stability of the club. Obviously if they pick up a trophy or two this season this season it will help but they're still spending a hell of a lot of money with nothing to show for it thus far.
