  1. Our chairman and his agent is the same person which is why your point about being as much our decision is moot and a potential conflict of interest going forward. We need strapp in so I'm not complaining about this particular deal but this was my worry when Laird was appointed chairman.
  2. Purely from a team perspective it's an extremely handy signing for next couple of months at least. From a massive red flag perspective, I'm sure it was an extremely tough negotiation between our new chairman and his agent to get him in the shop window until the end of the transfer window.
  3. " Point of order" Get a grip man
  4. Critically acclaimed French theme day - 2012 International debut for a country our greatest modern player had never even visited before - 2014 You've always given off the most Tory of vibes so no surprise to see you twist the facts. The fact you need to compare our official merchandise to a shite fan organised day over a decade ago really emphasises what a shan effort it is by the club.
  5. Aye I for one can't wait to celebrate our 150th year vs Alloa in my dodgy DH Gate standard Morton celebratory merchandise.
  6. My general rule of thumb is that if its something the old Hamilton Accies board would do then it's something that's not acceptable.
  7. If its got to the point where the products have already been made then that's a pretty monumental fuck up on someone's part. Just one normal day of Morton, please.
  8. Im not actually in the slightest bit bothered by any bitterness he may have towards the club however he was happy to take the applause from the fans on the final home game of last season and still has many fans raging that he left/desperate for him to rejoin so it seems a bit strange just cause he doesn't like Imrie.
  9. Don't think Strapp will be signing to play right back anytime soon
  10. French hopefully fit tomorrow and O'Connor 4-6 weeks with similar injury to Doyle and Wilson nursing his calf but has been training. Not as much of a disaster as first thought last week in terms of injuries. Quintongo out for a while. And Oakley and Gillespie back in contention going forward.
  11. Anything interesting happen at the AGM? I got home late and couldn't get connected to the Zoom call.
  12. Brandon Tiktok ballon dor signs for Colwyn Bay in Wales.
  13. My first thought was he was connected to Strapp due to all the anti Imrie pish. Not exactly subtle. Still best left ignored.
  14. Dundee fans not happy with this move on their club twitter post confirming it. Strange not to see fans delighted about a player leaving for Morton.
  15. Imrie saying one or two players are injured for considerable period of time but not saying who yet or for how long. Also says one or two hopefully coming in and one is close to getting done.
  16. The spin of the statement on the back page headline of the tele today is " Morton need big investment to strengthen" which makes it sound like we are in financial trouble rather than the fact it goes on to quote the statement saying that infrastructure needs investment and the club are putting money aside for it for when it's needed. I've bought it almost daily over the summer for any transfer news etc to read at breakfast but they're not getting any more sales from me until they sort out their ridiculous spinning of headlines.
  17. Strapp could barely pass the ball to a teammate with his left foot nevermind his right foot. Decent enough defender but he's never the answer to our problems. Would take him as a back up left back to waters who is a better player than strapp but that's it.
  18. Hamilton tweeted the other day that international clearance had been received for Lawson to move to Tunisia or something so he's no longer available.
  19. Imrie saying in the sun he wants two more players this window. Looks like we tried to get someone in this week but haven't been able to.
  20. King is surely our back up left back so I can't see him being sent out on loan unless we bring in someone versatile enough to play there when needed.
  21. Imrie in the tele saying that Wilson can play rightback, centreback and centre midfield so makes sense why he wanted him as long as he can get and stay fit.
  22. Genuinely had no idea that Crawford was 30. I had him in the 26-28 age bracket. It shows how good he's been that there are Scottish teams out there potentially willing to spend money on a 30 year old championship player who hasn't turned up trees anywhere else he's been. Edit to add: he's 29 I googled the wrong Robbie Crawford point still stands I guess.
  23. I emailed Ross last week and he had an automatic out of office until 15th August. There's obviously other people at the club who could be dealing with it, but if he's the one personally involved with the shirts then that may be the reason why you've not heard anything.
