Went to a gastropub in Birmingham which specialised in cider, had 40/50 different types, was brilliant.

Agreed. Cider is a bit like science fiction, or progressive rock. When done well it’s brilliant, otherwise it’s dreadful, not much middle ground.

That’s right. Felt, great band, one of my favourites. Never got to see them live. The main pub had a pool table as well. Regulars were surprisingly friendly.

Anyone remember The Melrose? Or as it was known after that, the Overdraught? Great bin pub, sadly missed!
