Mibbe it's because I’m from a sea faring family that I have no ill will towards them although never have been a sailor myself I spent most of my youth on boats and Seagulls are generally ignored by ships crews.
I also spent many a day walking around the docks when they were open to the public with my dog and we were continually dive bombed, but not once was either myself or my dog injured in any way, they very rarely strike, it is generally a warning.
To finish, they are in no way my favourite animal, loud, greedy and evil looking bassas but they don't bother me in the slightest.
