It’s pie in the sky to think we could get an average attendance of 5,000 fans, given the decline of both the club and the area since the early 1980s. 20 years ago, we had an average attendance of under 3,000. I doubt we will be able to achieve that anytime soon.
-
It’s a shame it didn’t work out. Best of luck to him.
-
I think one of the factors is due to Inverclyde being a deprived area. We used to offer concessions for people who are unemployed, or on disability allowance. The way I see it, the more people we encourage - the more money in the club’s pocket.

McGuffie scored as well. Darvel were done in at the end and just wanted the whistle. Decent cup run and a few quid in the coffers.

The last time we won three league games on-the-trot, was the last three games of the 2018-19 season. (0-2 v Falkirk, 0-1 v Dunfermline and 1-0 v Dundee Utd) -

Wasn't that the shirt we wore in the B&Q Cup Final?

I generally don't care what ex-players are up to. I wish them no malice or ill-will, but couldn't really give a toss what they do once they've left us.
-
Nicolson’s can fuck off. Last time I was in there, the toilets were like a coke den and the place was full of jumped-up fannies. Nice beer garden though.
-
Very pertinent points, rather than waiting for the imaginary white knight to appear on the horizon with a sackful of cash.

It’s concerning with so many resignations from the MCT board. It kinda feels like no-one wants to be left holding the baby.

At the risk of outing myself as a "Peroni wanker", the old Old Bank Bar is charging a fiver a pint. Needless to say I sought refuge in the nearest Tennent's watering hole, while licking my wounds.
-
So that's what the Burns Lounge looks like inside. I can't mind the last time I was in The Willow, although I doubt punters will be beating down the door to pay £4.60 for a pint.
-
Didn’t even stop off at Smiths to check out the discounted face-masks. Pffft.

Nicola Sturgeon was down at The Beacon earlier today launching the SNP council election manifesto.

It was a tweet from Brendan but he has since locked his account, hence I deleted my original post. I don't know the family personally, so can't offer any comment on their conduct. From professional exchanges, Brendan always seems like an affable chap.
-
That was my initial thought, but looking at the accounts it seems the main demographic is left-of-centre, pro-independence. As mentioned, Salmond has become a bogeyman type figure to both camps. A lot of knicker-wetting in any case, and if anything, has only served to provide the event the steam it couldn't generate on its own. The hypocrisy of the tweet posted earlier is staggering, considering who leads the team onto the field most matchdays.
-
I’m guessing this is because of the local councillors who recently defected from the SNP to Alba. Knowing Salmond, he won’t avoid a photo opportunity with the crane and club badge in the background. While I understand the club needs to generate income, I personally don’t agree with parties using the club as a promotional tool.
-
I had my doubts about MCT, but given the complete lack of foresight for marketing and promotion during a key sales period, my doubts have turned to concerns.
-
They’re too busy navel-gazing instead of getting the collective finger out of their arses. I don’t see why they have to wait on a supporter survey for an area that has previously been identified and mentioned about from MCT.
-
They can count themselves lucky, as I'd have the first bus to Gullane Beach booked after yesterday.

I heard Allan Evans’ name mentioned on the podcast and had a look at his record. He had won four league games in his first twenty, as had Peter Cormack and *shudder* Kenny Shiels (who only lasted twenty games). -
The badge looks squinty af on the home shirt here.

Maybe wishful thinking, but I was hoping for around 2k or so yesterday. ~1400 was probably what we were getting before last year’s lockdown. I know there’s the Ton TV viewers as well, so that’ll have an impact, as well as ticket prices, the weather and the general shabbiness of operations at Cappielow.
