  1. I get that it’s meant to be a joke. Likewise, Janey Godley’s impressions of Nicola Sturgeon are intended to be a good laugh, but are as funny as cancer.
  2. Aye, I saw you talking about it on Twitter this morning. I’ve never really been a big fan but watched the interviews sporadically. If there was a guest that I felt that would be worth listening to I’d happily put it on. Since lockdown I’ve listened to James McPake, Leigh Griffiths and Clint Hill in the last three weeks. The only one I’d have really been interested in under normal circumstances would’ve been Griffiths, but I found all three interviews to be quite entertaining and enlightening- McPake dishing a bit of dirt on Maurice Malpas and Hill on Mark Hughes were great. And Ferry does have a bit of patter. He keeps his interviews relaxed, doesn’t creep up to his interviewees like some Greenock based podcaster I remember from his early interviews before I stopped listening, and his research is pretty good too. You get the impression there’s very little left out by the end of his interviews. Although there was no mention of McPake playing for us, but that probably says more about his time here than Ferry’s research. Contrast that with the “Keeping The Ball On The Ground” podcast, which is awful. I’ve said before that I’m not a fan of Paul Slane, and Kevin Kyle just comes across as a younger “auld duffer” type than Alan Rough is on PLZ. Just about everyone who posts on here has a far better knowledge of Scottish football than him. While I’m at it, Gordon Dalziel on Clyde 1 is another of that ilk that is stealing a wage. There’s obviously a market for light hearted football debate, and I don’t expect it to be too high browed but Slane in particular is unwatchable. If a wee fanny like that came and sat at your table in a pub there would definitely be one party getting to fuck sooner rather than later. Ferry will probably make himself a good career in the media in years to come, but he’ll have to reconsider the format of his work to do so. I suppose a miserable 40 year old Morton fan like myself isn’t necessarily the target audience, but listening to a wee ned shouting and swearing into a webcam is only going to be funny for so long, even to the neds. Think I need to go back to work, got too much time on my hands getting bothered by stuff like this.
  3. My point was more a rant about how a guy who apparently had a bit of ability about him slaughtering guys like that when he achieved the square root of fuck all off the back of behaving in a way that Dean Matthew Keenan would marks Slane out to be a cunt. He tore into Ross Tokely in that video- a guy who, love him or loathe him, made over 500 senior appearances across a 22 year career. I suppose we all do it on terraces and forums like this, but a wee fanny that had a chance and pissed it against a wall hammering guys that made so much out of their limited talents only shows one party up in a poor light.
  4. Ironic that a channel that gives a platform to Paul Slane, who made a grand total of 27 SPFL appearances, scoring zero goals, retired at 25 and spent his pay off from Celtic on hookers and bevvy is doing a feature on the worst SPFL player in history. Could they not perhaps look a little closer to home than Austria for their candidates?
  5. Happy William Edjenguele day, everyone! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrPjo_RJ6U4&t=16s
  6. Absolutely not, I’ve still got 6 bog rolls left.
  7. Hopefully his 18th falls within the curfew, just to make sure. There aren’t many clubs you can say we’ve got one over given our failings for the last generation or so, but we’ve won every single little battle with these fuckers since Raymond walked. They’re in our pocket and it’s absolutely delightful.
  8. Listening to it just now. Rumours that he was pissing in their soup, too. What an absolute mutant of a boy. On another note, remember a few years ago there was talk of us signing Paul Slane? Pretty sure I remember saying at the time that he'd be exactly the sort of signing we should steer well clear of considering the history we had with wankers like Keenan etc. That was a bullet dodged.
  9. This is all well and good, but what about the time Reghan Tumilty scores a goal in a 2-1 defeat at Partick and had the temerity to admit he was quite pleased with himself in spite of a disappointing result? What a fucking fanny of a boy Keenan is.
  10. An acquaintance of mine (mate would be pushing it) is involved in that, the other boy in the video with the black jacket and dark hair. Apparently Novo's fighting his dad. Neither party comes out of it looking too clever tbh, but Novo seems to give the scum on both sides of the sectarian divide exactly what they want every time, without fail. Bell end of a man.
  11. Billy King puts St. Patrick’s 1-0 up against Cork City.
  12. Agreed to an extent- and there was also the loss of St. Mirren to the division last season. But without having the figures to hand, it’s a significantly bigger loss than the free spending days of the mid-late noughties. Crowds are down, yes, and we still had the likes of Tidser on big contracts, as well as the badly planned season ticket deal, but there was also the compensation from Falkirk, and sponsorship and TV revenue since the formation of the SPFL. I suppose we’re not getting any rent from Celtic or the SFA now, but we only had that in recent years anyway. I’s probably accept the figures as accurate if I didn’t see less money being lost on more expensive squads in our years of underachievement.
  13. Ian Diack has been appointed as East Kilbride Thistle (the juniors) manager.
  14. Morton have been a Greenock club for the entirety of their 146 years of unbroken history, yet are suffering from declining crowds. Would you be happy for Morton to move to somewhere like East Kilbride or Irvine?
  15. In what way is a club that's from Rutherglen showing a bit of ankle to East Kilbride, squatting at Firhill and Hamilton before eventually setting up in a council funded sports village in the middle of nowhere because there's another new town without a club not too far away and making noises about getting to fuck out of the place cos it hasn't worked out as planned anything other than a form of franchise football? I'm looking forward to seeing shite like Cowdenbeath, Albion Rovers and Queen's Park flushed out of the SPFL, but at least they are rooted in their communities. Clyde are no better than the cubs you mention.
  16. I think we all know why he did it, that’s been well established. And we all understand that footballers look at moving clubs dispassionately, unlike ourselves. Nobody’s really disputing that it’s entirely up to him who he chooses to play for. Likewise, it’s entirely up to us to despise him on the basis of those choices. See: O’Ware, Thomas.
  17. Gavin Gunning didn’t go to Them.
  18. Yep, he's totally fucked it for himself with Morton. He was well on the way to becoming a legend here, in spite of our relative lack of success in his time at Cappielow. With a testimonial sitting waiting on him, and his own business up and running anyway, finance shouldn't have been a massive concern to him. Of course, we don't know Tidser's financial position regardless of having a decent idea of what he was on at Morton and Falkirk, but he chose to chase the big payday and most likely got it with Falkirk's pay off. But at what cost? There would probably have been a job inside the club waiting for him with Morton helping him through his coaching badges if he wished, he'd have been in pretty high demand further down the line to be wined and dined, asked to speak at events etc. but chose to take the devil's shilling. His prerogative, but I very much doubt he's a poor wee pauper that needed that move in order to secure him after retiring from football because he'd have been unemployable after that. I remember arguing the case against Jai Quitongo being given bad advice on leaving Morton as most without genuine feelings for Morton would probably consider getting out of here for another full time club a wise move, but in some cases, maybe the grass isn't always greener. He might have a healthy bank balance after his two recent moves, but when he looks back on his career, I'm sure there'll be some major regrets at how it panned out. Fuck him.
  19. Not only was it a stonewall penalty, I thought it was a straight red. The defender made no attempt to play the ball. I wonder if McLeod would’ve been so vocal in his criticisms of the decision had it been awarded to Partick, rather than against them. Regarding Cardle, I’m not sure any retrospective action can be taken, as the referee booked him at the time. Pretty sure that in the SFA’s eyes that renders the matter closed if the referee has taken action. He could of course have been booked for the headlock prior to Muirhead’s rugby tackle, but in that case, the free kick would’ve gone Ayr’s way, so it would appear he was booked for the double elbow. He’s a horrible wee bastard, and Muirhead’s not much better tbh.
  20. Alex Samuel scores the second in Wycombe’s 2-1 win over Blackpool.
  21. Amazing that within a minute of spaghetti hoops being mentioned, jimbobton appears.
  22. Craig Reid, the man who reached the heady heights of seventh in the 'Biggest Arsehole to have played for Morton' poll of 2018, has joined Lowland League promotion hopefuls Kelty Hearts. Or 'Barry Ferguson's Kelty Hearts', as they're better known.
  23. Gavin Gunning has left Solihull Moors. Bring him home.
