  1. We looked much better with Lithgow in the side on Saturday and he primarily played up top. Tells you everything you need to know. Don't think he lost a duel with the big boy up front for them either.
  2. Now, that's an odd one. I did say the other day I could see Lyon being sent on loan, but had in my head it would be to League 1. Surely signing(s) incoming today?
  3. End of the day, it is only a rumour. It's the first I've heard of it and I presume many others. If it was considered legitimate I'm sure most of the fan base would know by now.
  4. Never understood the hate for Fred. Is there something that went on behind the scenes before he left? Guy has went on to have probably the best career of a Morton player in the last two decades? Also netted us a good fee when be moved to Malmo. If I remember correctly, didn't look out of place either when he played in Europe for Malmo/Ostersunds.
  5. If Low comes in I could see Lyon being moved out on a loan deal. It's more likely going to be someone like McGrattan but there's something not quite right with Imrie/Lyon.
  6. We are still living in the 20th century. Surely to fuck programmes can be provided in a digital format and those who want printed versions can even pay that bit more than the standard price? You can't even pay by card for food and drink..
  7. Surely saving some money on not paying Sutton a wage too, maybe we might see two new recruits?
  8. Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised to see this being announced soon.
  9. I think he turned us down to move down south and it fell through. Ended up turning out for Falkirk as a trialist. He's a presence for sure, would probably benefit us with him bringing Kabia/Quitongo into the game. His goals/injury record would be a worry. I think we missed a trick on not prioritising Reilly, I think he would thrive in our current set up.
  10. Considering the way he went about his business I'm sure some wouldn't be keen on it but I wonder what the chances of Ugwu returning would be if we can manage to bring in another forward. It's a different option up top, keeps Easdale out the squad too.
  11. Stephen McGinn, that guy who only passed forward on Saturday afternoon because he couldn't play it backwards when filling in at centre half.
  12. I wasn't pleased on Saturday when the team got announced, I considered not bothering but went in that end. Weighing up around 6/7 players were out in some capacity did make me feel a bit better. However, let's just say those 6/7 fill the bench. Apart from maybe Muirhead (if he can be bothered), there is not one player on there that can come on and change the game for us. That's my main worry.
  13. I would like to see Kabia announced in the next few days and maybe another player on loan I suspect. With Baird and Gillespie out for Saturday and so far Lithgow and Jacobs injured (?) we might be struggling to put a team together. Muirhead is also on paternity leave I believe.
  14. To be fair, I thought he was about 35. Might end up a shrewd piece of business. We are crying out for a proper playmaker, I don't believe he fits the bill.
  15. Don't think I could handle it being Grant Gillespie. Just screams past it.
  16. Took me forever to wonder who "Kai" was in Jack Baird's interview, thinking he's leaked a signing. Completely forgot Kyle Jacobs was with us. I presume we ain't shifting him.
  17. If we get Hamilton signed up I'm extremely happy with the back 5. Better than what we started with last season, that's for sure.
  18. You can't see it on the post above, but on my phone anyway, the Twitter post is using a number 1 emoji for the first 1 in eleven. Jack Hamilton it is.
  19. He wasn't always on his game sadly, but Gozie was a somewhat effective presence up top. The 1-1 with Killie near the end of the season I thought he was outstanding. I think his previous injuries had him playing with some nerves.
  20. I'd be offering Strapp the armband. I think a year as captain would elevate him even further. Obviously, if he has better offers from the league above or even down south that may not interest him. He will have seen players at Morton who never took their chance to leave. I mean, we all thought Quitongo was going on to better things, especially after turning down 100k from Doncaster (?).
  21. This was my thoughts too. We hear so much about security at this level. In some capacity, I think it's a smart move.
  22. Contract/signing news incoming. They used a gif of John McGinn on Twitter, could be Stephen? But I'm guessing it's Muirhead due to the gif being a wild celebration.
  23. I'd much rather have Reilly than Oliver and/or Muirhead. Shame that.
